The Huawei P30 Lite has been an interesting bet of the Chinese company in 2019. The terminal is one step behind its older brothers, but it has interesting features, considering that at the moment it has a price that is around 215 euros . Either because you just bought, you plan to buy or have long been a P30 Lite, today we wanted to review its main problems and more effective solutions .
It is very common that some problems may arise even from day one. The manufacturer is aware of this and in many cases the patches that solve these errors occur continuously during the first months of the device’s life.
First of all, locate the problem
HiCare is an application pre-installed on the Huawei P30 Lite, and allows you to make a diagnosis of the system and several sensitive hardware elements to find the problem. If an anomaly is detected, the tool will indicate it and suggest solutions . Simply enter the application and click on “Start” so that the terminal automatically starts testing.
Problems of the Huawei P30 Lite
Precisely for this reason, before seeing any problem or continue reading. We recommend that you take a look at the possible pending updates that the P30 Lite may be waiting for. For this we go to Settings / System / System Updates . It is possible that some of the errors they have have already been solved.
It turns off by itself
If the Huawei P30 Lite is experiencing sudden shutdown, it may be due to a common error but that usually has an easy solution. The cause is usually in an imbalance in the battery. To fix it we will have to let the phone turn off by completely draining its battery . Then we will try to turn it on (if it does not turn on, wait at least three hours). Then we charge the battery up to 100% and turn on the device. Everything should work properly and the sudden blackouts have disappeared.
This is not something exclusive to the P30 Lite and often occurs on many phones, whether new or have months of use. Bluetooth, like other connections, may have synchronization problems with some devices even if they had worked before.
To solve it we will have to go to Settings / Mobile Networks / Network Settings / Reset network settings. Pressing will restore all connections including Bluetooth to find them as the first day. This can eliminate some synchronization problems, although we will have to pair all our devices again.
Problems with the sound have also been reported in the Huawei P30 Lite. Some users have problems with the sound in full call or listen to the speaker too low. There have also been problems in the audio when the mobile is connected to the car’s Bluetooth. To solve it we will have to follow the following steps.
- Turn off the phone and remove the Nano SIM card. Then we put it back inside and turn on the equipment again.
- We deactivate the “Bluetooth” and make a test call.
- Make a call with the device turned on in Safe Mode.
If after these steps the sound remains the same, we can always take a look at how to improve the sound on Huawei phones , looking for an alternative solution.
Artificial Intelligence is a great help when taking photos, but some users report that the photos do not come out with the desirable quality. This usually occurs in low light conditions or when the object is not clear . In addition, the AI assist of the camera, which is enabled by default, learns as the user makes use of the terminal. The solution is to temporarily disable Smart Shooting mode. To do this, click on the Camera Settings and then click on “Disable
We may also need to restore the camera application so that everything works correctly again. For this we go to the Settings / Applications menu and enter the “Camera” . Once inside we enter “Memory” and click on “Clear cache / Clear data. This will cause the camera to work again without problem and not slow or close on certain occasions.
The battery runs out soon
It’s a shame, but the Huawei P30 Lite only has 3,340 mAh battery, which may fall short for some users. Many have come to think that it is a real problem. Huawei has released some patches to try to optimize performance better, but it is true that some milliamps have been missed. However, thanks to the intelligent management of EMUI we can stretch the battery much more. Making these adjustments has a high benefit over the battery life of the P30 Lite.
- Disable Face Unlock.
- Go to Settings / Advanced Settings / Location. We disable high precision GPS if we don’t need it.
- Go to Settings / Advanced settings / Location / 3-point menu / Scan settings. Here we disable the scanning of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections that drains the battery considerably.
- Disable less used applications so they don’t start automatically. It is done in Settings / Applications: now we individually deactivate the automatic Start in applications.
- Using manual brightness will save a lot of battery.
Delays and ghost touches
Although the Huawei P30 Lite is sold in versions with up to 8 GB of RAM, in our country only the variant with 4 GB of RAM is sold. That causes “lag” or problems of fluidity in the interface at times of maximum processor demand. One solution in this regard is to go through the developer options and reduce the scale of animation. To do this we must go to the Settings / About menu and touch 7 times in the compilation number. Once done, the “Developer options” window will appear. We go to “Animations” and reduce all options from 1X to 0.5X.
It occurs in many mid-range devices and is no different in the Huawei P30 Lite. In this device, many users have reported that it overheats during calls, although others notice this temperature increase while playing for a long time. Some solutions to avoid it are:
- Remove the protective case while talking on the phone
- Make sure you have good network coverage, since otherwise we have guaranteed overheating and draining the battery
- Do not use the terminal to play titles of great graphic demand while loading
