Surely on more than one occasion you have bought an application through Google Play and, after spending a good amount of dollars, this is not exactly what you imagined. While we all know the bitter feeling of throwing money with an app, we are not all aware that instead of sulking and deleting the application, we can request a refund through Google Play. Requirements to request a refund on Google Play

In order to receive an immediate refund of any application you have purchased on Google Play without explanation, you will need to request it within 2 hours of your purchase.

If this time has passed, do not worry, until after 48 hours (2 days) since you bought the application you will be in time to ask for your money back. However, after these first two hours you must explain why you request this refund and it must be approved by Google Play.

How to request a refund from Google Play from your mobile

As we have anticipated, you will be able to request a refund of any Google Play application through your mobile as from your PC. If you are away from home, obviously the fastest and most efficient way to do this is by directly using your Android mobile.

If less than 2 hours have passed since purchase:

Request a refund during the first two hours of the purchase of the application you have two options:

Delete the application immediately, Google will process the refund without asking you any questions.
Visit the application's page in the Play Store and press the green “Get a refund” button. If it does not appear on the screen it is because it has been more than two hours since you bought the app.

If less than 48 hours have passed since purchase:

To do this, open Google Play and swipe the screen from left to right to display its main menu. From this click on the "Account" option, just below your wish list. This will open a new window with all the details of your account and purchases through Google Play.

Click on the “Purchase History” tab to access all the purchases you have made from the Google store. Once in it you will see not only the money you have spent on applications during that month but also all the apps you have purchased.

To request a refund for one of them, click on the app you want to return. If you are within 48 hours of margin you will see how the “Refund” option will appear. Click on it and follow the steps on the screen to recover lost money.

Although it is obvious, once your refund has been processed, you will no longer be able to download or use the app unless you pay again for it.

How to request a refund from Google Play from your PC

If you spend more time throughout the day in front of a PC than looking at the mobile, it is likely that you will find it much more comfortable and intuitive to request this refund from it.

To do this you simply have to visit your Google Play purchase history and click on the button with the three vertical dots next to the application. This will open a drop-down menu with the option "Request a refund" if you are within 48 hours after your purchase.

After requesting the refund, choose the option that best suits why you want to be returned in money and click on the "Send" button. After they review your request, Google will return the money you spent buying the app.

More than 48 hours have passed since I made the purchase on Google Play. Can I request a refund?

Unfortunately, if it has been more than two days since you bought the application you will not be able to use the previous method.
