How to Remove Bloatware and System Apps on Huawei

It is common that when we turn on a terminal that we have just bought for the first time, we find a mobile that is full of applications that we have not even installed , and that we are not going to use either. Although it is true that manufacturers over time have behaved better in this regard, to this day, there are still companies that decide to flood their terminals with apps of everything.

The main problem with this is that in most cases it is almost impossible for us to uninstall them in a regular way. But don’t worry, there are different options to say goodbye to those apps . Therefore, pay close attention to this series of tricks that we will give you with which you can uninstall them without any problem.

What is bloatware?

In general terms, bloatware refers to all the software that is found in our “filler” device , that is, that is already pre-installed in the operating system of our mobile device. And they only serve to occupy and consume resources, without actually contributing anything beneficial to us, since, surely, we will never use them.

We have inherited this term from the PC, although unfortunately, while computers can easily get rid of the bloatware they carry, on Android the solution is not so simple. This is because some apps are “theoretically” impossible to uninstall from the system. However, that they remain installed on our mobile phone is not a major problem, since currently Android devices usually have large storage capacities . However, years ago it was a small setback, since it was common to be short of available space, especially in low and mid-range terminals.

Disable vs Uninstall

When it comes to ending these pre-installed apps, there are two options: disable and uninstall. So do not despair, because we will show you how you have to do it step by step .

Try uninstalling them first

In recent times, just because an application is pre-installed on your mobile does not mean that it is totally impossible to uninstall. Fortunately, there are many cases in which we can get rid of these apps in the traditional way , that is, you can uninstall them like others. In some cases, fortunately, they are traditionally installed applications, so you can uninstall them normally.

The first thing you should do is check if these applications can be removed in your case. So you will have to do a long press and see if the option to uninstall appears, in the event that it functions like this on your mobile device. But if not, you must follow the following steps depending on the EMUI version you have: EMUI settings > Applications . Once inside, you will only have to look for the application in question and see if it has the option ‘Uninstall’. If so, you can get rid of the app for life.

Is it useful to disable them?

As we have mentioned before, there is also the possibility that we have to disable them, since it may be the case that these pre-installed applications cannot be uninstalled in the usual way. So, if you don’t want to enter the swampy terrain of root because you don’t dare, you will only have one option: disable the application . But what does this mean? Basically, a disabled application will continue to be part of the system, but we will not be able to open it and, therefore, it will occupy less space in the storage of our terminal.

To disable an application you will have to go to EMUI Settings> Applications. When you are inside you will only need to find the application you want to deactivate and press the ‘ Deactivate ‘ button. With this, we will also remove the possible updates that have been installed over time of said app. Although sometimes there are small glitches, so you will have to press the button again.

The best option to get rid of those apps

The option to disable applications is not the definitive way to get rid of bloatware . But for many it is the best, since at least it is the simplest solution when it comes to getting rid of them to a large extent, without having to root or anything out of the ordinary in their terminals. How to permanently eliminate them

For this more advanced method, we will require a certain amount of how the developer tools work. Go to Settings> Phone info and click Build number repeatedly to enable developer options.
Then go to System and Updates> Developer Options .
Scroll down and turn on the USB debugging option.

Connect the mobile to the PC.
Confirm on the phone to Allow USB debugging .
Find the ADB folder , and on it, right-click and select Open PowerShell window here or Open a command window here (this step will depend on the version of Windows you have).
Check if your terminal is connected correctly with the following command:
