We know that mobiles are not perfect and that technology is not ideal, but there are problems that affect us completely and can cost us many hours of unsuccessful attempts. Among all the failures, the problem in which the backup is waiting could make us lose all the stored data and a great unforeseen event that no one wants, so we are going to try to give you a solution.
The failure appears at times in different versions of Android, brands and models, so it cannot be identified with a specific mobile. If we are suffering right now, we accompany you in suffering because we have had to suffer too, although we have been able to fix it with the steps that we are going to explain and detail.
Why the backup on Android does not progress
Faced with this problem, the question that comes to mind in the first place is why this happens and specifically to us, well the answer is not simple at all. It can be a failure of the automatic backup or a specific failure, something that we can easily fix with the solutions to the problems with the Android copy.
Other times the problem is not so simple and it can take us a lot of time to fix it. For that we have various methods that we show you below, trying to get rid of doubts and preventing it from happening again.
Check that other Google backups work
When the copy of Android does not load, the first thing to do is try to verify that the service is not down, something we can do with Google Photos. The application that stores images has a very close relationship with the backup and if we verify that the message “preparing backup” appears here, too, without finishing moving forward, there is a failure that does not depend on us. If another message appears, it may be because we are connected through mobile data and for that reason it is not completed.
As the hours go by, we must verify that it continues to be the case, because in case it continues we must restart the mobile and take a look at the following solutions to get out of this problem and be able to copy Google in all our synchronized services.
“Restore” backups on mobile
The solution that works the most times with this problem is in our hands a few steps away. To get the backup on Android to complete we will only have to go into Settings> Systems> Backup and deactivate it and then activate it again. With this, in most cases it is solved and in the course of about 5 minutes the process will complete itself.
If the problem persists, we can resort to a method in which we are putting our saved data at risk but that would be the key. Entering Google Drive, touching the menu and accessing the backup section, we will find all those that are associated with our account. Here we will have to identify the mobile phone that is causing us problems, touch the three points and eliminate it. Then we repeat the previous process again and leave the mobile a few minutes to complete the copy as if it were the first.
Google Services Failure
If none of the above has worked, when the backup copy of the mobile is caught we will have to get serious and take out all our weapons to get the copy to move forward. Our mobile may be suffering a failure with Google services, which are an entry key to backups and that for example in Huawei mobiles without Google apps will be easily repeated. The steps to follow are those:
- We begin by entering Settings> Applications.
- Inside we will search for “Carrier Services” or “Google Services”.
- When clicking on them we will choose Storage and cache, to delete both.
- Finally, we touch Force stop as many times as necessary until the button stops being blue.
- Finally we restart the mobile.
When the problem with Google Services is turned on again, it will be solved and therefore the backup will be completed without any major problem.
