Crossplay is one of the best features that the last generation left us. Crossplay problems
One of the main problems in Crossplay is that in shooter-type games, those PC users who play with a keyboard and mouse will have a considerable advantage in being able to aim and shoot more quickly. This resulted in some games creating specific filters with which to avoid keyboard and mouse players, something we can find in Cold War and Warzone.
The origin of the traps
In addition to the disadvantage of PC hardware (be careful, remember that on Xbox you can use a keyboard and mouse without problems), there is also another handicap to take into account, and that is that PC users will be able to modify the game files to install trainers and illegal programs that allow auto-targeting to get automatic unsubscriptions without messing up, something that is obviously completely forbidden and that usually ends with the banning of said user’s account.
The problem is that, if you have a user with these types of advantages in the game, the game becomes a nightmare and the game immediately loses its meaning, since you would be competing against a robot that aims directly at your head.
That’s one of the main reasons console users try to avoid PC users at all costs, although it’s important to remember that Activision works hard to end these kinds of practices.
How to avoid Crossplay in Cold War
To avoid playing with PC players and other platforms (if you play from Xbox you will not be able to play with PlayStation people), you will have to deactivate this option (called Cross Play) in the Account and Network settings.
How to disable Crossplay in Warzone
Considering that with the release of Cold War, Warzone remains a standalone game, the network settings will also have to be configured independently within Battle Royale mode. To do this, go to the settings and go to the Account tab to deactivate the Cross Game option.
What advantages and disadvantages will we have after deactivating it?
We have already mentioned the advantages that you will find when deactivating the Crossplay function, and that is that, if you feel a certain degree of disadvantage when playing with PC players, you can always avoid them by deactivating this function. On the other hand, you should take into account that by deactivating Crossplay, the games could take a little longer to gather the necessary players to start the Battle Royale or a team duel on a certain map, so you will have to take that into account time to play a quick game.
