However, on many occasions we no longer have a mobile phone and it continues to appear as a linked device. Can we remove it? The answer is yes, and in seconds.
We are constantly changing mobile phones and Google keeps a record of our devices, every time we log in with a Google account. In this way we are allowed to synchronize accounts or install applications remotely. However, we may have lost the mobile, it has been sold or it is simply raising dust in a drawer, but Google continues to show it as a linked terminal.
Erase mobiles
Luckily we can remove or unlink any mobile. In this way we will be telling Google that we no longer use that equipment , so it will close any open session of our Android, Google, Youtube, Gmail etc accounts … It is a security measure, but it also serves to put order in the history of our mobiles.
To be able to do this we will have to enter this link , called “Your devices” where we will have control of the devices from which we connect, when it was the last time we did it and even from where we have connected. To remove the device we will have to click on the three points next to it and click on “Close Session” so that it is removed from the list.
Unknown phones?
We can also see if by any chance our account is being used by an unauthorized or unknown device. If in the list we see any that should not be there, it is that this terminal is using our Google account. In that case we must click on “Close Session” and proceed instantly to change the password of our account, as recommended by Google itself.
If by any chance we have deleted a mobile phone by mistake, there is no need to worry. Simply log in again with our Google account on the device to appear again in the “My devices” list. In addition, within this range of tools the option “Find the phone” is included, which will take us to the Google tool for geo-locating our terminal and accessing remote options such as file deletion in case of theft or lost.
