The game in streaming is already a reality. There are more and more services that allow us to play our favorite titles over the Internet. Microsoft has Xbox, Sony to PlayStation Now, Google to Stadia and NVIDIA, how could it be less, it also has its own gaming service in the cloud: GeForce Now . This last service is the least known and the one that has evolved the most slowly. However, with its latest developments, it has just stepped on the accelerator to greatly facilitate access to its games by users.
The main advantage of GeForce Now is that, unlike other platforms like Stadia, nobody forces us to buy the games in any specific store. NVIDIA allows you to log in to Steam, uPlay or the Epic Games Store and load the list of games that we have purchased on these platforms. Thus, we can start playing them directly.

NVIDIA has one of the best business models, along with Microsoft’s Game Pass, for its streaming game platform. It is true that we will have to pay to access the “premium” functions of their service, but it gives us much greater freedom when buying the games, saving us from having to go through the hoop and pay the price they want (such as happens with Stadia) or having to pay twice for the same game.
However, one of the limitations of GeForce Now was having to be tied to its own program. In this sense, Stadia, for example, was quite superior. Until now.
Play GeForce Now from the browser
The new beta version of GeForce Now brings with it an important novelty: the possibility of accessing the service and running our games from the browser. Thanks to this novelty, we forget, once and for all, the NVIDIA launcher program, being able to play using only the web browser, just like Google with its platform.
In addition, NVIDIA has added the ability to create bookmarks and shortcuts to our games from the cloud. In this way we can always have them at hand, two clicks away, to run them as if they were games physically installed on the PC.
This service is only compatible with the latest versions of Google Chrome . Other browsers, such as Firefox, or any other Chromium-based browser, such as Edge, are not compatible with the service. Also, for now, it only works in Chrome for Windows and macOS, although it will surely end up reaching other platforms, such as Linux, Android or iOS. The streaming game is here to stay. Although it still has a long way to go before it can be a true alternative to real PCs.
We can access GeForce Now in Chrome from the following link .
GeForce Now to the queue of the streaming game
Despite having the best business model (at least for users), it is the least known platform chosen by users to play. This is because its development has always been very slow and without making too much noise. In addition, there are developers who have been against this platform (without reason, since the games are emulated from other stores) and have prohibited NVIDIA from hosting their games on the servers. Resolution is also one of the drawbacks of this service, since the maximum we get is 1080p and 60 FPS . No support for more FPS or for 4K or ultra-wide screens.
GeForce Now is a service that we can use for free with two limitations: without RayTracing and with sessions of only one hour. If we want to make the most of this service, it is necessary to go to the cashier and pay 5 euros per month to be able to have 6-hour sessions of the game, priority access and ray tracing.
