Finding the best mouse for big hands

If you have larger hands and struggle to find a mouse that fits comfortably, you’re not alone. In this article, we will share our personal experience and recommend some mice that we have tested and found to be perfect for people with large hands.

Having larger hands comes with its advantages and disadvantages. While you may have a strong grip and be able to hold a basketball with ease, finding a mouse that feels comfortable can be a challenge. Most mice on the market are designed for average-sized hands and may not provide the comfort and control you need.

In this article, I will personally recommend mice that I believe are well-suited for users with larger hands, based on my own experience. To give you an idea, my hand span, from the tip of my thumb to the tip of my little finger, measures exactly 25cm. I have tried dozens of mice and understand the frustration of using ones that feel too small in larger hands. With my experience, I can offer recommendations that prioritize comfort and functionality for individuals like us.

Finding the perfect mouse for big hands

Finding the right mouse for large hands can be a challenging task, especially without the opportunity to try them out beforehand. However, that’s where we come in to help. It’s important to note that each user has their own preferences, such as mouse sensitivity and the specific tasks or games they engage in. What works well for one person may not be comfortable for another.

With that in mind, let’s begin. The first mouse I personally recommend for large hands is the Logitech G903 Lightspeed. I’ve been using it myself for over two years now. It’s a high-performance wireless mouse with extensive customization options, including the ability to change or remove side buttons and adjust its weight. The battery life is impressive, lasting up to two weeks with daily use. While it can be relatively expensive, it’s worth noting that it’s often available at discounted prices, sometimes even below €100. The ambidextrous design, size, and weight make it ideal for accommodating larger hands.

Another gaming mouse that offers excellent comfort for larger hands is the Corsair Ironclaw RGB. This optical mouse boasts up to 18,000 DPI sensitivity and is ergonomically designed for right-handed users. Unlike the Logitech G903, it’s not wireless and lacks an ambidextrous design. However, its larger size compared to other gaming mice makes it comfortable for those with larger hands. From our experience, we recommend this mouse if you have a palm or claw grip. If you use a fingertip grip, the side buttons may feel a bit distant and less comfortable, as they are positioned slightly further back.

Remember to consider your own personal preferences and grip style when choosing a mouse, as this will greatly impact your comfort and overall satisfaction with the device.

As depicted in the image above, the manufacturer itself promotes this mouse as specifically designed for individuals with large hands, so there is little more to add. However, it’s worth noting that it is a relatively affordable gaming mouse compared to others in the market. The recommended price is €60, but it can often be found for just over €40.

The third mouse we recommend in this article is the Razer Viper V2 Pro Wireless, which is the most expensive option on our list. While it may not be the best overall, we found it to be highly comfortable due to its ambidextrous design and lightweight construction, weighing only 59 grams. It glides effortlessly and smoothly. However, we recommend it primarily for users who hold the mouse with a claw grip. Otherwise, you may find yourself in a situation where your wrist remains anchored to the mousepad, allowing only slight hand movements. In other words, if you don’t use a claw grip, you’ll need to set a very high sensitivity to feel comfortable using this mouse.

Of the three mice we’ve recommended, the Razer Viper V2 Pro Wireless is not only the lightest but also the most technologically advanced. It features a cutting-edge Focus+ 30K (30,000 DPI) optical sensor, an impressive battery life of up to 80 hours, 3rd generation optical switches with a lifespan of 90 million keystrokes, and utilizes Razer HyperSpeed wireless technology for low-latency performance.

As previously mentioned, this mouse is the most expensive among the three, with a recommended retail price of €160. However, it is worth noting that it can often be found on sale for less than €130.

Other recommended mice

Certainly, the three mice we previously recommended are not the only ones that can cater to individuals with large hands. However, we strongly believe that they are the top three options, especially for gaming purposes. That being said, below is a list of additional mice we have tested and found to be suitable for individuals with larger hands:

1. Logitech G502 HERO
2. Steel Series Rival 710
3. Roccat KONE AIMO
4. Corsair Dark Core RGB PRO SE
5. Razer Naga Trinity

These are our supplementary recommendations. If you have large hands and none of these options meet your needs or provide the desired level of comfort, please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section. We would be delighted to hear your feedback and suggestions.
