In the past, only a small notification LED gave us some information, but now, the notification bar can be completely filled with icons, in which each one reports a different aspect of what has happened on our phone. However, sometimes it can be difficult to know what each of them means, as it happens in Huawei phones that have EMUI 10.
More than anything, because since that update more symbols have been added. In addition, it has happened to all of us that overnight, a new icon appears in the notification area without us being able to identify its meaning . Each one has a specific function and at different times it will alert us to aspects. Since the battery is charged such as the fact that it is running out of power, or other details that have been integrated more recently such as that fast charging is working or that Digital Balance is activated. In short, there are dozens of different icons, which we will have to know how to identify, since in many cases they offer very important information.
The large number of symbols of the Huawei
Surely you have noticed that since your Huawei smartphone was updated to EMUI 10, you have many more icons that you have never seen before. These symbols will always be located at the top of the panel of your mobile device, that is, in the notification bar itself that every Android mobile has. For this reason, it is there where we will always see the different notices of our smartphone.
However, and although it is common for us to know what each one means, there are different cases in which there is one that catches us by surprise and that we know absolutely nothing about it. And it is that Huawei smartphones since they got the EMUI 10 update, we are faced with a huge number of symbols that can vary for few details.
However, there are always some that will be easier to recognize because we have seen their symbol before and we know its meaning. But, on the other hand, others will be from different tools that the Asian firm’s own smartphones have or new technologies that have been added to the terminal with that previous update, which we may not know at first.
For this reason, and despite the fact that in general these are not difficult to understand, we will present you the different icons that you can find in a terminal of the Asian firm that has at least the update to the EMUI 10 version . If not, we will have fewer symbols, since it was after this when more were added to your mobile devices.
Meaning of all icons
In EMUI 10, Huawei has integrated almost 50 different icons , which refer to all the technical aspects of the device such as the signal strength or which network we are connected to or the remaining battery of the connected Bluetooth device. Those related to the network status may vary depending on the region or the network service operator of the user. In addition, we show you all that can appear with a mobile that has been updated to EMUI 10 or EMUI 10.1. It must be borne in mind that these notices also depend on the mobile model we have in hand.
We start with the first ones that we can find in the previous image. Obviously those related to 5G or fast charging will never appear in Huawei terminals that do not support this technology. But, the rest of the symbols of the first symbols inform us to which type of network we are connected, be it 4G, 3G or 2G. Later, if we continue observing the image, we will see that the bars signify the intensity of the coverage that our smartphone reaches at that moment. Therefore, the greater the number of bars, the better the signal.
Then, if we continue observing the image, we will also see some symbols that are nothing new if we have ever used an Android mobile. Such as having Data Saving enabled or that we do not have a SIM card in the mobile device. Also, it may be that the one that does not ring a bell is the Wi-Fi Zone enabled, this will appear when we are sharing this type of connection. Otherwise, the rest of the symbols are similar and there would be no complication to understand them. In the case of the SkyTone notice, it would be in case of having that application. Can they be hidden?
These status symbols only have an informative character that is considered important, at least in those references that depend on the operation of the system. Therefore, and without root permissions, those that can be hidden are those referring to the different notifications of the applications that we have installed on our Android device from the Chinese firm. Therefore, if in your case you want to remove different possible symbols that may appear in the status bar, you will have to carry out a series of steps.
The first thing we will have to do is to press and hold a blank area on the main screen, we access Settings / Application icons with symbols . Then we will only have to deactivate the selectors for all applications or for some particular applications. Therefore, to hide the icon with the Settings indicator, we will have to deactivate the selector corresponding to Settings. This way, your notifications will no longer appear in the status bar.
