In the last hours, social networks have echoed a couple of videos in which two users showed how their console apparently went on fire. As can be seen in the images, the Microsoft tower appeared fuming as if it were a chimney, something that obviously has alarmed many users. In both cases, the images showed the console in the front face, and the rear face was never seen.

As expected, retweets and posts began to multiply, and on Reddit another user claimed to suffer from the same problem, guaranteeing that his console had started to smoke for no apparent reason. What’s going on?
A bad taste joke
But everything seems to have an explanation, and quite simple. Some users have wanted to show that it is all a joke in bad taste, since as they have shown in other videos, it is enough to place a vape at the back so that the air circulation takes care of the rest.

This is the case of the Twitter user XboxStudio, who wanted to demonstrate how with a simple vape you can achieve the effect of smoke coming out of the interior of the console. Taking a look at the density of the smoke, it seems that the situation agrees with what has been seen previously.

Watching the new videos that are appearing, everything seems to be clearer and there is possibly no doubt that there is no problem with any console, much less that one is burning.
It goes without saying that these vape jokes are completely discouraged, as the internal components of the console could be damaged by the moisture generated. So stop joking and forget this matter.
Is there something to worry about?
Unless a user has contacted Microsoft directly and has officially reported this event, for now we can only say that everything has been the result of a joke in bad taste and that Xbox Series X does not suffer any problems beyond of the complicated distribution that the console is suffering around the world, since many users are still looking forward to receiving the new console at home to start playing.
