With the arrival of the iPhone SE 2020 the original iPhone SE remains in second place, but really how much has changed the cheaper Apple model. The button on the screen is another element that remains.
In weight, the new iPhone SE 2020 becomes heavier with 148 grams compared to the previous 113 grams and measures that grow in height and width minimally. The screen is another element that changes to go from the original 4 inches to 4.7 inches on an IPS LCD screen with improved resolution 750 x 1334 px. Design improvements give it IP68 resistance and higher contrast.
We go from Apple A9 to Apple A13
The big jump is in its processor, going from the Apple A9 with two cores and a frequency of 1.84 GHz to the A13 Bionic with six cores with a clock frequency of 2.5 GHz. In connectivity if there are less changes, since we already found NFC in the original model and we keep it in this one. However, we lose the audio jack in favor of the Bluetooth 5.0 LE low consumption connection.
iOS 13 no surprises
The operating system is iOS in version 13, which is also currently on the original iPhone SE. We will therefore have all the functions in both models but for example the results of the portrait mode will not be comparable, as well as the performance of its battery or of all the applications with the significant jump in the processor.

With the arrival of the iPhone SE 2020, we stopped considering the previous model as an alternative without official purchase options. This iPhone SE 2020 arrives for 489 euros in its most basic version, a price that makes it place itself at the top of the company’s economic options and putting several models on Android in serious trouble.
This price coincides with what we saw in 2016 with the arrival of the first iPhone SE and its number of sales was a success, which makes us think that the move will be repeated. Without a doubt, it is a good purchase for those who want to choose yes or yes for iOS 13 and its update system, although nevertheless on Android the catalog is very wide and we can find high-end mobile phones with very good features and a design more current for a lower price. Comparing these two operating systems to decide is a task that each user will base on their experience.
