Finally, what many of us were waiting for, that phones with 5G connectivity were affordable, is something that is already a reality with mobiles of these characteristics that we can buy around 300 euros or less. Today we face the Realme 7 5G or Moto G 5G Plus , two phones that undoubtedly have a lot to say in this mid-range.
The advent of more affordable processors from Qualcomm and MediaTek has accelerated the cheapening of these phones. Precisely the ones we compare today are the best examples of this, with new Dimensity and Snapdragon.
Screen and dimensions
We are facing mobile phones with large screens, but especially in the case of the Motorola, which offers a 6.7-inch with an aspect ratio of 21: 9, with Full HD + resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz with double front hole, unique in the market.
The Realme 7 5G for its part has a 6.5-inch screen with Full HD + resolution, a refresh rate of 120Hz and a hole in the corner. Therefore the Realme is smaller, with dimensions of 162.2 x 75.1 x 9.1 mm and a weight of 195 grams. For its part, the Motorola measures 168.3 x 74 x 9.7 mm and weighs 207 grams.
In this regard, each one has the mid-range processors from MediaTek and Qualcomm. In the case of the Realme 7 we have a MediaTek Dimensity 800U 5G , while the Motorola has a Snapdragon 765G , two powerful processors and that provide 5G connectivity to these phones.
The Realme has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. For its part, the Motorola has the same amount of RAM and storage.
We are in front of two telephones that have quadruple cameras . They both have a 48-megapixel main sensor, as well as an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The difference lies in the macro sensor, which is 2 megapixels on the Realme and 5 megapixels on the Motorola. Ahead wins the Moto, with a dual camera of 16 and 8 megapixels ultra wide angle. The Realme has a 16 megapixel front camera.
Battery, connectivity and software
In capacity the equality is total, counting both with 5000mAh battery , although the 30W fast charge of the Realme is faster than the 20W of the Motorola.
Two phones that have NFC connectivity to make mobile payments, with a USB type C connector, as well as Bluetooth 5.1. The software they both have is Android 10, under Realme UI and Motorola’s layer of almost pure Android.
Price and conclusion
We’re going to stick with the promotional prices of both phones today. And of course, in this case the Realme 7 5G would take the lead , with a price of 229 euros, compared to 299 euros for the Motorola Moto G 5G Plus. In both cases we are dealing with excellent mid-range phones, in favor of the Motorola we have a dual camera in front and a larger screen.
In the case of the Realme, the higher refresh rate is a point in its favor, as well as the faster load , and therefore those 70 euros of difference between them tip the balance in favor of the Realme. But beware, the Motorola with this price is also an excellent purchase. The same happens when they return to their official prices, with a difference of almost one hundred euros, which will continue to tip the balance in favor of Realme.
