Although we are talking a lot about the high-end terminals that will be presented at the beginning of the newly released year, we must not leave aside the mid-range. In this sense, OPPO also has a lot to say, and will soon incorporate a new catalog the OPPO A93 5G, which has now just been leaked before its official presentation.
As usual, we know the technical specifications, price and images of the device, before it has even been officially mentioned by OPPO. The A93 5G will be a step below the high-end mobiles of the Chinese company, offering technical features to match and of course, 5G connectivity , something that the standard A93 presented at the end of last year lacks.
Its features and filtered image
On this occasion, it was the China Telecom website that revealed key data about the OPPO A93 5G. The terminal has the model number PETH00, which also matches a recent listing from the Geekbench program. The terminal will have a perforated screen to house the front sensor, which has a size of 6.5 inches with FullHD + resolution. However, nothing is mentioned about its refresh rate. In its filtered image, we see that the design of the rear camera varies radically compared to the A93 we know, going from a square module with four cameras, to a rectangular module with the sensors positioned vertically.
Inside it has the Snapdragon 480, which will be accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The terminal will move with Android 11 and will have a 5,000 mAh battery, although the fast charging technology is still a mystery. However, the same model number revealed an 18W load in the 3C certification database. This A93 5G will arrive with a 48 megapixel main sensor, and two macro and depth sensors of 2 megapixels each. On the front it will sport an 8 megapixel selfie camera.
The OPPO A93 5G is expected to be presented on January 15, and its price has been set by China Telecom at 2,199 yuan (about 280 euros). We still cannot know if this device plans to make the jump to our market, as part of OPPO’s strategy to be able to compete with more weapons. Mid-range 5G mobiles will continue to push their price tighter and tighter in 2021.
