However, the Canadian company Shine has created a portable wind turbine that you can carry in a backpack, with multiple features and functionalities. This company has been working on engineering, product design and caring for its customers for more than 30 years.
This novel invention allows air to be converted into energy. It can be used at any time of the day and anywhere the wind blows. This is very useful since for example in case of needing emergency power at night, solar panels would not be an option. Regarding the power-to-weight ratio, this turbine reaches up to 13.3 watts, surpassing other forms of energy such as solar energy, the water turbine or thermoelectric energy.

The turbine has been created for those who love nature, camping or hiking in the mountains and who need to carry a source of energy with them without worrying. It only weighs 3 pounds (1.3 kilos approximately) and gives us the possibility of, for example, charging up to three full mobile phones in less than an hour. It also helps to charge other devices such as tablets, flashlights or smartwatch.
Although portable batteries are an option to charge certain objects that we carry, these after all have a capacity and they run out, but the Shine turbine gives the possibility of charging cameras or drones via USB device.

It has resistance to water and can reach a speed of between 13 and 45 kilometers per hour. It only takes two minutes to assemble and it has only 4 pieces: the turbine blades, the tripod, pegs to facilitate the fitting of this on the ground and retention cables. And if we don’t know where the wind is blowing from, there is no need to worry, since the turbine has a sensor that detects in which direction the wind is blowing and rotates automatically.

For example, for contributing $ 18 or more, Shine will give us a gift waterproof backpack. If we contribute $ 25 or more, we will receive a gift cap. For $ 30, we can choose between receiving a protective and waterproof cover where we can store what we want or an ideal mug for camping.
