Among the functions that we find in Android phones there are practically no limits and that extends to the sounds. Which leads us to be able to choose how we want a call or message to sound, but in Huawei the sound customization system goes even further and offers us more advanced options than in other cases.
If in your hands you have a terminal of the Huawei brand or with EMUI in any of its versions, you are interested in knowing everything that you can change in the sound to recognize them. Something very common is that we go down the street, the bus or the subway and someone’s mobile makes us think that ours is ringing, something that will not happen to you again if you change the default nests of the Huawei terminal with the following steps that we explain.
Change all sounds on Huawei phones
There are no limits to the changes of Huawei phones around sounds, which is combined with possibilities that also vary with respect to vibration. If we want to modify any tone in Huawei , we just have to enter the EMUI Settings section and then in the menu called Sound and vibration. Inside here we will find everything you need, including silent modes or do not disturb at certain times.
Before getting to know all the customization possibilities of each section, we must know that in the upper part we come across the volume controls for the alerts that come from calls, messages or other types of notifications. In addition to alarms, music or multimedia sounds, ending with calls, which is the tone of the person on the other end of the phone. At any time we can adapt the sound by simply pressing the volume buttons on the terminal, quickly access this same panel by touching the settings wheel that appears.
Choose a new ringtone
The possibilities to change the sound of calls on Huawei phones are very wide and far surpass those native to Android. In this case, what we will do to see the possibilities of change is to access Settings> Sounds and vibration> Call tone. In this menu we will have all the options that we will be able to apply to our sound when someone calls you by phone.
The first thing to keep in mind is that we can modify the tone for the two SIM cards that we can use in the most complete models. In this way, if we use both cards, it will be very easy to identify which phone number they are calling us at. In each SIM we will be able to choose one of the ringtones, finding a wide variety of tones that come in the latest version of EMUI. But if we prefer, we can touch “Music on the device” and we will choose any sound already present on our mobile, which can be a voice note, a downloaded song and even a video. As you will see in the image of a video filmed with the mobile we can also extract the sound.
Modify the sound of messages
In the same way that we have been able to change the sound of calls, Huawei allows all its smartphones to choose the sound of messages. This corresponds only to those that arrive at the messages app that we have established by default and does not correspond to those of chats such as WhatsApp or Telegram. In this section, which is also found in Settings> Sounds and vibration> Message tone, we will also be able to customize the sound between both SIMs.
Its customization options do not differ much from calls, being able to even establish a vibration system with different patterns. But when it comes to sound, the preset tones change with respect to calls. Although what does not change are the options to customize the alerts , since sounds can also be extracted from music, audios or videos.
Change the notification tone in EMUI
Finally, the options to customize sounds also reach the other system notifications. We can create a notification alert for everything that reaches us on the mobile, although later we can modify the sound in Huawei to our liking individually. In this case you have to touch within the sound settings on the device Notifications. The thing does not change with respect to the previous thing, because we can choose between the same tones of sound of the messages, although we recommend you not to establish the same so that it is easily differentiable.
What we can also change so that we can recognize it before, is the vibration system and it must be taken into account that in this case we can only set new sounds as an alert and it does not work for now with videos.
Put a different sound to each app
Although the customization options for the sounds with EMUI seen so far are key, we cannot overlook an option that is especially interesting. It is about the possibility that Huawei terminals give us to choose a different sound for each application that we have in the system. In this way we will never have a notification equal to the previous one and only with the sound and vibration we can identify if it is a WhatsApp message, a weather alert or a calendar event, among all the options that exist.
To do this, what we have to do is go into Settings> Notifications and choose the app where we want to modify the sound. All the apps that in one way or another send us notifications will appear among the options and once we have chosen the one we want, we will enter a new options panel. Here we will access the section called Notification of … to proceed to choose the sound of the notification for it. From where we can also choose its appearance on the screen or even if it has permissions to interrupt us when do not disturb mode is activated.
