WeTransfer is down and not working. One of the most important file transfer services in the world has stopped working today, so users cannot share large files or download those stored in the cloud.
The outage began at noon and users have been able to see a message indicating that the service is not available at this time. We cannot download files in the cloud with the problems that this entails for millions of users around the world. From the company’s status page they confirm that they are “experiencing a high level of API errors and we are currently investigating the problem” but there is no solution at the moment and the links do not work.
The main web page works ( although not with the usual speed ) but the error appears in the download links that we send or receive via email. When you receive a link to download a set of files and click on it, an error appears that does not allow you to get these attached files. We cannot download anything or access the stored content.
Complaints on social networks
There are many users who have complained on social networks about the fall worldwide. For their part, from the official account they indicate that they are “working hard to try to solve it as soon as possible”

Many users complain about the fall and assure that it is an ” essential service in their work ” that they cannot access. Messages in Spanish from users who complain that WeTransfer is down but we see that the error is worldwide with many other tweeters who come to the social network to ask about what happened.

How to check if it works
If we want to check if it has worked again or if there is a temporary error, we can go to the WeTransfer.statuspage.io website where the company periodically updates all the changes. From here we can follow a real-time update of the last check or if it has been fixed.
From here we will see a history of the failures in the last 90 days and the failure today, but also messages that allow us to have updates in real time. In addition, at the top of it you can connect to receive updates without having to check it periodically.
