If we talk about Battle Royale games, the two most popular in recent years have been PUBG and, above all, Fortnite. Although many other developers have tried to make a dent in this sector, no one has been able to steal the crown of these two popular games. However, things can change, and that is, after the launch (and success) of Call of Duty Mobile , the franchise returns to the fray in order to topple its two main rivals with the new Call of Duty: Warzone , Activision’s long-awaited battle royale.
Call of Duty: Warzone is Activision-Blizzard’s Battle Royale game with which to try (albeit very late) to conquer users of this type of game. Remember, Battle Royale games are massive online games in which a variable number of players (up to 150 on the same map) fight each other to be the last player standing. One of the characteristics of this game is that we can play individually or join our friends to win them.
Warzone minimum requirements
Unlike Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone wants to be a superior game in every way, both graphically and technically. Therefore, the minimum requirements to be able to move it correctly, without problems, are somewhat higher than those of its rival.
In order to play this free game, we need to meet the following requirements:

- CPU: Intel Core i3-4340 or AMD FX-6300.
- RAM: 8 GB.

Call of Duty: Warzone free download
Call of Duty: Warzone is an Activision Blizzard game. Therefore, in order to start playing it (on PC), we must do it from the Battle.net application. If we are going to play on Xbox or PS4, we can also download it for free from their respective app stores.
If we do not have a Battle.Net account yet, we can create a new one from the following link . Once the account is created, we will have to download the Blizzard client and install it on our computer. Once installed, we log in with our username and password and, in a few seconds, we will see a window like the following.
In the left panel we can see, at the bottom, the list of partner games, where the Activision games will be. The one that interests us is ” Call of Duty MW “, since within this section of ” Modern Warfare ” it will be from where we will access Warzone, the Battle Royale. We click on ” Play for free “, and the first thing we will have to do is enter our age.
Once validated, the installation wizard will start. We can choose the path where we want this game to be installed, the language and choose whether we want it to be always updated (important, since if it is not updated we will not be able to play).
We click on “Start installation” and the game will begin to download. When it’s done, we’ll be able to start playing it directly from the Battle.net launcher.
Don’t be fooled: Call of Duty: Warzone is not free
We can download the new Call of Duty: Warzone for free , and play it without paying. But from there to being really free, there is a difference. Neither Blizzard nor Activision are non-profit companies, therefore they will try to raise money in other ways. Just as we can also download Fortnite for free , and spend the money on internal purchases. And just like all companies do.
Warzone has several in-app purchasing elements. Within the game we can buy different things with real money. Everything is optional, but they are going to find a way to take advantage of the lack of will, and the smallest ones, to generate income from within the game. If we have little willpower we should avoid playing this game, since they will easily get the money out of us. And if we are adults and we are going to let a minor play this game (badly done, since it is much more violent than Fortnite), we must keep an eye on it if we do not want our account to be emptied with its in-app purchases.
