Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War: Ping and Picture Settings

Although Apex Legends appeared with great force and attracted the attention of thousands of users, in the end, the waters returned to their course and the public remains where they always have, and one of the usual places is Call of Duty . But Apex Legends left good things, so much so that even Call of Duty has had to integrate them.

The multiplayer ping system arrives

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War: Ping and Picture Settings

Taking advantage of the launch of the Cold War public beta, Treyarch has published many of the novelties that the game will include at the level of gameplay and game experience, and among them, if there is something that we have to highlight, yes or yes, it is the ping system .

As you will surely remember, Apex Legends introduced a very convenient marking system that allowed you to warn your team members about the position of certain objects or enemies. This is something that we could already see integrated in Warzone, and that is that the function is extremely useful on large maps such as a battle royale.

Mark that pesky spy plane

But Treyarch wanted to go further, and has decided to also integrate the system in multiplayer mode, thus being the first time that the franchise includes it in MP modes. Thanks to this function, the player will be able to mark loot, objective, locations and enemies quite easily, since you only have to press the left button of the crosshead or the Z key on the keyboard if you play on PC (obviously you can customize them).

Thanks to the system, coordination between team members can be more fluid and precise, since in addition to speaking through voice chat, we can indicate exactly the loot or enemy we are targeting at that moment.

A new perspective

Cold War

In addition to ping, Black Ops Cold War will include a custom field of view (FOV) setting. This setting will allow us to expand the angle of view of the first person view to cover more on the screen, although you should take into account when using it since, in addition to being more complicated to aim, it will increase the requirements of your PC .

To this must be added the possibility of modifying the elements that appear on the screen (HUD) to show or hide those that interest us. Thus, for example, we can have a clean image without distracting elements, keeping only the aiming sight or the health bar. The options that we can choose go through the crosshairs, the impact markers, damage markers, life bars of allies, life bars of enemies, names of the players and horizontal compass.
