Block calls on Xiaomi mobiles with MIUI 11
With the latest version of the Xiaomi layer, it has added several relevant changes to calls, going to use the phone application and Google Contacts, at least in Europe. This means that if you still have MIUI 10, you have to keep reading until the next explanation. In the case of MIUI 11 the process is very simple and we only have to open the phone app and tap in the upper corner to access the Settings.
Within the Settings we have the option to tap on “Blocked Numbers” and we will have access to two options. The first allows us to block calls from all unknown numbers and then we can touch Add number to choose which ones we do not want to be disturbed again. We can also hold our finger on the call log and block that number directly.
Create blacklist from security app
Another option that we find is the one that allows us to block calls in MIUI 10 and that we can also continue using with MIUI 11. Within the Security application we have access to a button called “Black List” from which we will have all the options to protect us from calls and messages.
When entering we touch on the Settings and then we can choose which numbers we want to block, allowing us to even choose telephone prefixes . In the last section we can choose whether we want to receive a silent notification about calls from the blacklist or we prefer not to receive even this notification.
