The US company that makes the most helicopters in the world, Rotor X, wants to go one step further and enter the world of electric take-off and landing vehicles. In fact, the company has already developed a design that would not imply pollution to the environment and would be worth less money to do so compared to the rest of aircraft of this style that they want to make or have already been made today.
This model would be one of the safest in the world since with its rotors at the top the ship could rotate automatically in case the engines failed. It is a vehicle with four engines that receives the name of RX eTransporter and that can carry a total of eight passengers and a pilot, being able to load a total of 726 kilos.
A different design
This vehicle has a T-shaped tail and a small upper wing that facilitates both vertical takeoff and landing, while most of these vehicles only have one large wing that only allows them to fly in one direction: straight . It could reach a speed of about 225 kilometers per hour and even a maximum speed of 257, although it is expected that it can even reach 322 kilometers per hour.
It will work through a battery system to save fuel costs. It will have a range of up to 370 kilometers and if necessary the aircraft will be able to stay in the air without movement for up to more than 45 minutes. The wings can be unfolded to make landing easier. According to the company, this vehicle will be one of the safest transports.
Future vehicle features
However, not everything was going to be good news. The eTransporter may make a lot of noise, although this would only affect if the vehicle passes over crowded areas. Still, the company is working on making its ship quiet and making its powerful engines quieter.

This project is being carried out in collaboration with another company that makes flying vehicles for the United States Army. It is expected that in 2022 the company will be able to carry out tests with the aircraft in Alaska and, if everything goes well, it would be for sale from the year 2024.
