Any user who wants to save money when buying a new Apple product, can end up resorting to the Trade-in program. With this it is allowed to give an old team in exchange for a discount in the new team. Now Apple has quietly touched the money they will offer and surely you will not end up liking it.
Apple reduces the discount for offering an old device
The Trade-in program may have been instrumental for many users looking to save money. It is true that this type of initiative meant that less money was offered for the equipment that was going to be given compared to what would be obtained if one chose to make a sale in the second-hand market. But if you chose to give the iPhone, iPad, Mac or the device that went to Apple, the user could get rid of the worry of having to sell the iPhone in a store or finding the right person for it even if he lost some money .

Now Apple in a very silent way has wanted to reduce these discounts on some products and increase it on others. Where the reduction has been most noticeable is in the Mac range. For example, the MacBook Pro is now valued at 810 euros when a few days ago it was estimated at about 870 euros, so there is a significant difference of 60 euros.

With regard to iPad they have also made a very similar decision. The iPad Pro has gone from 440 euros to 420 euros and the iPad ‘just’ the assigned value has also been reduced by 10 euros.
The Apple Watch are the computers that have lost the most, especially in their older versions. Specifically, the first generation is now not even allowed to receive a discount and can only give it for recycling. The Series 2 has gone from € 60 to € 40 and the Series 3 from € 115 to € 85. It is important to note that in the US this is totally different since in that country Series 1 is maintained to sell for $ 35.
Some teams suffer the opposite effect
But not all is bad news since Apple has opted to increase the price of some of its equipment within the Trade-in program. For example, the MacBook Air 2020 is now much better valued with an increase of 50 euros over its initial value or the iMac that has been increased by 10 euros. And with regard to the iPad we see changes in the ‘Air’ range with a valuation of 10 euros more.
Where there has not been any type of change, at least in Spain, it is in the iPhone that without a doubt are the equipment that can raise the most attention when including them in this Trade-in program. What has not changed for better or for worse is that you can not give any device that is not an iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple Watch. In the case of wanting to get a discount through a HomePod or AirPods, a priori it is impossible and can only recycle them with Apple.
