Apple Launches the Fourth Beta of iOS 13.3 and iPadOS 13.3 for Developers

Although we were all waiting for Apple to release the final version of iOS 13.3 and iPadOS 13.3 this week, Apple has decided to continue with the beta program. Specifically a few hours ago the company has released the fourth beta for developers of iOS 13.3 and iPadOS 13.3 although we hope that in the next few hours it will be available for public beta testers. In this article we tell you all the details of this new beta although we don’t expect too much news.

Extension: Apple has also published the fourth betas of tvOS 13.3 and watchOS 6.1.1.

Apple releases iOS 13.3 and iPadOS 13.3 without noticeable news

iOS 13.3 has as its main novelty the limits of communication that is a novelty that has already been promised to parents to protect the little ones. With this possibility parents can impose some important limits so that no one can get in touch with their children and also to prevent them from making calls to outside people.

These communication limits include FaceTime, telephone and s message along with all iCloud contacts. What obviously can never be rescinded are emergency calls so that if something happens, small tables can call emergency services.

Another novelty is the support with the security keys compatible with Lighting FIDO2 in Safari . This will allow us to have our passwords on a physical support that we can carry with us at all times to perform double factor authentication.

Right now there are not many more outstanding news in this beta, although it is completely normal since in case this update does not have very important news. This is basically due to the presentation of iOS 14 getting closer and it is obvious that the cards for this update are already saved.

If you are very curious to try this beta on your iPhone or iPad we recommend you first make a backup. Although we believe that it is not worth installing iOS 13.3 right now for not including anything new the steps to follow to install any of the betas are the following:

  1. Go to the Betaprofiles website from the iPhone or iPad to which you want to install the beta.
  2. Choose iOS or iPadOS and click on «Download» .
  3. You will see that the developer profile has started downloading and you will have to accept its terms and install it from Settings.
  4. Once you have installed the profile you will have to restart the iPhone or iPad.
  5. Once the device has restarted, go to Settings> General> Software update to download and install beta 4 of iOS 13.3 or iPadOS 13.3
