One of the most anticipated and desired novelties by many users arrives on Android, and this will undoubtedly be one of its great innovations. This is a new section in which it will show information about the status of your smartphone’s battery so that you can know if it is fine or if you have to change it as soon as possible.
In recent years there have been many innovations related to Digital Wellbeing and other Android mobile services, with which you can make better use of your mobile for your own health, and also that of your phone. And now they have dared to go further.

You will know if your battery is in good condition or not
At Google, they have been concerned in recent months to include optimizations such as adaptive charging or battery. Now we have information that soon, in a few months, the Google Pixel and later the smartphones with Android 13 will include a new function in which you will be able to see the health status of the battery built into your smartphone. You will find it in the system settings.
For years now, this configuration has been present in the battery settings of the new iPhone and brand devices, under the Battery Status section, something that many Android users longed for. Until now, this information can only be accessed from Android in a very hidden setting on some mobiles or with external apps.

Finally, Android has decided to improve its service with the new Battery Health section , which will show you the health status of your mobile’s built-in battery . It will be in system settings and will be tested first on Google Pixel devices. This functionality is already, although hidden, in beta 1 of Android 13 QPR1.
According to an image that has been tweeted by Mishaal Rahman, the new Battery Health section of Android 13 will show the health status of the battery through a general status indicator (calibrated in 4 levels) and very similar to the one in the center of security in the system configuration.
mishaal rahman@MishaalRahmanGuess it’s time to start watermarking my screenshots. I don’t like doing it because it slows me down, but then some people will think it’s okay to repost others’ findings without credit. https://t.co/nSZJBvPDwpSeptember 12, 2022 • 14:31491

It will indicate if the battery is bad and that ‘if unexpected blackouts or reduction in battery life occur, please consider replacing the battery’.

In addition, they give more information on the subject and there is a subsection called Health factors , and it indicates its capacity and performance conditions of the mobile.
When will this feature be released?
The function that shows you the health of your battery is hidden in the beta version 1 of Android 13 QPR1 , which has been initially tested only 4 days ago.
Considering this and how Google works with its updates, this new feature will most likely roll out to compatible Google Pixels in the December Pixel Feature Drop , Google’s quarterly update for its devices.

Later it will reach more models of the different brands that have the Android 13 operating system, since they intend to introduce it at the system level . Also, several manufacturers are working to incorporate it into their customization layers.
Soon you will be able to easily see on your Android mobile whether your battery is in good condition or you are going to have to think about changing it. How about?
