Amazon Drones Are in Danger to Deliver Packages

Drones have been born as a result of the advancement of technology in recent years. These small aircraft are manned and can be both piloted and driven by themselves, although the former is the most common. There are many types of drones that are used for different things, since drones also have many uses. However, Amazon’s project to use parcel delivery drones could be compromised and not come true.

According to a recent report, this project that is being carried out in England has already lost more than 100 employees , which causes the plan to be in free fall. Also, many of those people fired from the project are now in other sections within the company, so it seems that the organization is not at all clear.

Lack of control within Amazon

Apparently the problem arises from the company making a series of controversial decisions such as closing a team in charge of analyzing images that took drones to identify bones of both people and animals that was later opened again, so the decision to close does not make sense.

An employee even claims that he was in charge of up to three different people in a period of 30 days.

There were also people who apparently did not do their job well, such as approving all those images without corroborating whether or not there were dangers in them.

Therefore, people who did not have the relevant or sufficient knowledge to be in charge of something of such magnitude were in charge of the project.

That is why this lack of control within the company has caused this project to be stopped for now and it seems that it will still take time to resume, seen what has been seen.

It seems far away that this project becomes a reality

This program of delivery drones was born 8 years ago and although on more than one occasion it seemed that they could start using these aircraft for delivery tasks, each time that seems more distant.

In fact, the company assured that 5 years ago it delivered a package in this way in England, but it was a deception since it was a pre-established order.

In addition, the Amazon delivery drone project implied, for example, that the drone landed on the property to leave the package, something that can be very complicated and difficult to handle.

Even other drones that do these tasks do not need to land to leave the package in place, so Amazon loses on that side. Another problem with drones is their high weight (almost 30 kilos).

Therefore, it seems that this ambitious Amazon project of merchandise delivery drones will take time to become a reality if the situation continues as before.
