Add exceptions to this saving mode
Stamina mode is well known to users of Sony mobile phones, and other products of the brand. This mode can be activated automatically on our mobiles when a certain remaining percentage is reached, or on demand. Well, when we activate these modes, what is usually done by the mobile is to limit the activity of the app in the background, which is one of the activities that consumes the most energy. If, for example, the notifications of the apps are eliminated , the application is prevented from consuming power in the background. But logically we are going to run out of those notifications, for example from WhatsApp or email.
But in Xperia phones we have the possibility to put a certain limit to these restrictions, adding exceptions from apps will eliminate them. When we add one of these exceptions, the power saving mode does not apply to the applications we prefer. For example, there are some apps like Radar COVID that must work yes or yes in the background, so they must have these exceptions enabled . We can do the same with the others.
How to add these exceptions?
Well, it is very simple, because it is a native adjustment of the battery of Xperia phones, specifically its Stamina mode. Do the following:
- Access the settings of your Sony Xperia
- Click on “Battery”
- Select the three vertical dots in the upper right
- Click on “Energy saving exceptions”
Here we will be able to select the apps to which this energy saving is not applied. You just have to click on the button on the side to select the apps that you do not want to limit their operation to save energy. In such a way that those apps you select will continue to send you messages and notifications as they usually do.
