PatchWall is Xiaomi‘s TV content-discovery interface. On supported TVs, it helps you find programmes and open them in the relevant service. Whether you can make another home screen the default depends on the television’s model, region and software.

PatchWall is not the same on every Xiaomi TV
Do not assume every Xiaomi television uses the same Android TV, Google TV or PatchWall arrangement. Xiaomi’s own Mi TV FAQ distinguishes market-specific features. Its Indian model FAQ describes PatchWall alongside installed streaming apps.

Try switching home screens first
- Check the exact model and software version in the TV’s About or device-information settings.
- Try the normal Home control and any separate PatchWall/Mi shortcut shown in the manual.
- Open Settings and look for a documented home-screen or launcher preference.
- If your software offers Set PatchWall as default interface or a similar option, turn it off to choose the other supported home screen.
- Restart and check what actually appears.
Some older instructions place that option under Device Preferences > PatchWall. Treat that as a menu to look for, not a promised path on every model. If the option is absent, repeatedly following an old screenshot will not create it.
Can the TV start on live TV or an HDMI input?
That is a separate startup preference. Some models offer a last-used-input or power-on-behaviour setting; others do not. Check the options for the exact television and region. Choosing another launcher does not automatically mean “always boot to live TV.”

Do you need to uninstall PatchWall?
Usually the first goal is simply to choose which screen opens. Do not treat developer-command or system-package-removal tutorials as a universal fix. System components, remote shortcuts and later updates may behave differently after those changes.
If normal settings do not offer the choice, use a supported Home or input shortcut and ask Xiaomi support about your exact model before changing system packages.
Does PatchWall include Netflix and other subscriptions?
