Windows 10 is not limited to just a desktop and the programs that we usually install and use on a daily basis. Its potential goes much further. The Microsoft operating system has a large number of options, functions and features of all kinds that allow us to get the most out of the PC. Sure we all know the typical functions of this operating system, but what about the ones we are going to see next?
Game Mode – Better Performance for Windows 10
One of the functions that generally go unnoticed when we use Windows 10 is the Game Mode . This function is activated by default and allows us, broadly speaking, to optimize PC performance when we run programs in full screen, as with games. The Windows 10 Game Mode is responsible for taking control of system processes and suspending all those that are not strictly necessary (such as Windows update) so that, while we play, we can have the best possible performance.
Game Bar – Get the most out of PC games
It could be understood as a complement to the previous one. The game bar , which we can launch at any time using the Windows + G keyboard shortcut, allows us to have access to an overlay screen at any time while we are playing. This superimposed screen allows us to have access to the social functions of Xbox and use a series of gadgets that allow us to control the music, the volume and have in view the performance (CPU, GPU, FPS, etc.) of our PC.
Find files with your universal browser
If we have the files on our computer correctly organized we will have no problems finding them. However, sometimes we may have to perform a more general search to find a file, a system file, or a program in Windows 10. And for this reason, the operating system has an all-in-one search engine from which we can find literally anything on our PC. It even allows us to make inquiries on the Internet, through Bing, so that with a simple query our question is resolved.
A modern appearance of the system and programs with their transparencies
Transparencies came to Windows with the release of Vista, with its Aero theme. However, with the arrival of Windows 8, Microsoft did strange things and they disappeared. As 10 was an 8-based version, these slides were not initially available either. However, with the system updates that were arriving after its launch, Microsoft finally reintroduced them, although in a somewhat different way than we knew.
Windows 10 transparencies are generally activated by default for all users who meet the basic hardware requirements, and we can see them in the start menu and on the taskbar. Also, some of the UWP applications (like the Settings Panel) also bring them, in acrylic form, in the menu bars.
The best sound thanks to Windows Sonic, or spatial sound
Microsoft has attached great importance to everything related to sound in Windows. Whether playing games or enjoying a good movie, surround sound allows us to “get into” much more of the action. Surround sound equipment is generally quite expensive. However, thanks to Microsoft’s Space Sound , also known as Windows Sonic, we can achieve that virtual surround sound in any type of stereo speakers or headphones.
