The truth is that the Windows 10 that we are using right now looks little or nothing like the one that arrived in 2015, more than 5 years ago. And, luckily, Microsoft has been gradually improving its operating system, adding functions that should have been from the beginning and correcting everything that was wrong. With the passage of time, functions and features have been coming to Windows 10 that most of the time have gone unnoticed. And many of them, like the ones we are going to see, are very interesting functions that, if we do them, will greatly facilitate our day to day.

Clipboard history
The Windows clipboard has always been single-use. That is, we could copy one thing, and it was kept in it until we copied the next. However, Microsoft has given a twist to this feature by adding, in one of the latest versions, a history. Everything we copy (text, images, etc.) is saved in the history so that we can recover it at another time even if we have copied other things later. To do this, we just have to activate the improved clipboard from the Settings menu and access the history with the Windows + V keyboard shortcut instead of using the classic Control + V.

This feature also allows us to synchronize the history between devices, being able to recover from the mobile, or another computer, what we copy.
Emojis and Kaomoji everywhere
Sure we all use emojis when we write from mobile in messaging applications, but do you know that you can also use them in Windows 10? Microsoft introduced a drop-down panel in an update, which we can remove at any time with the Windows + keyboard shortcut . (Windows and period) from which we will be able to select the emoji we want. In addition, we will also be able to access a list of Kaomoji and a symbol search engine.

Protect your eyesight with night mode
If we use the computer for many hours, we use it at night, or in low light, we are sure that we often notice tired eyes. Windows 10, like most mobiles, has a night mode that attenuates glare and reduces blue light so that the screen does less damage to our eyes.
This function, called ” Night light ” can be activated manually from the Windows notification center, or programmed from the Windows configuration panel. In addition, we will also be able to adjust the light filter to adapt it to our needs.

Surround sound even with cheap headphones
If we use the computer for entertainment, for example, to watch series, movies or to play games, we surely use headphones. On the market there are a large number of headphones with surround sound and different algorithms that promise us immersive effects. But, generally, these tend to be very expensive, and unless we also go to the highest range, the outlay is not usually worth it.
Microsoft introduced in Windows 10 a function called Windows Sonic, or Spatial Sound , which allows us to convert any type of stereo headphones, even the cheapest ones, into 7.1 headphones. And totally free, without paying licenses or subscriptions like DTS or Dolby. In this way, we will be able to enjoy games or movies much more using only Windows 10.
