It is evident that Realme has come to the Spanish market to stay, and to make more competition than ever to the other Chinese brands, such as Xiaomi or Huawei. Today we put face to face two of the most interesting mobiles at the moment in the range, the Realme 6 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro , two mobiles that are more similar than we think.
Although Realme’s mobile phone has arrived on the market later, it has a technical sheet very similar to that of Xiaomi’s mobile phone, which together with its similar price makes them serious candidates for all those looking for well-equipped mid-range mobile phones that move around 200 euros.
Screen and dimensions
In this regard we have two quite similar mobiles, the Realme with 6.5 inches and Full HD + resolution , while the Redmi with a 6.53 inches and Full HD + resolution . The difference between both screens mainly lies in the notch, since the Redmi has a notch in the form of a drop of water, while the Realme 6 has a hole in the screen, in the upper lateral corner.
What in our view makes this screen more attractive. The dimensions of the Realme are 162.1 x 74.8 x 8.9 mm and it weighs 191 grams . While the Redmi measures 161.4 x 76.4 x 8.8 mm and weighs 200 grams .
Performance
In this aspect there is enough equality, especially if we talk about the processor, since both have the MediaTek Helio G90T , a processor designed to play the most demanding titles, with a more gaming profile. The versions that we have looked at offer us in the case of the Realme 4GB of RAM and in the Redmi 6GB , a larger amount that comes in handy.
Both have 64GB of internal storage expandable through microSD cards. Therefore, here the balance is on the side of the Redmi for its greater RAM memory.
Photo camera
There is also a surprising equality here, because not only do both phones have a quad camera , but also the sensors of both cameras have the same resolution and purpose.
This means that they both have 64-megapixel, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, 2-megapixel macro and 2-megapixel depth sensors . Therefore equality is maximum in this regard. The rest of the connectivity is pretty similar, with NFC on both, as well as bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac, dual-band, and Wi-Fi Direct. The fingerprint reader on the Realme is located on the side, on the power button, while on the Redmi it is behind. The truth is that it is difficult to choose one of the two as the winner , since they are very similar in characteristics and price. The Realme 6 has just arrived on the market with a price of 219 euros , thanks to which we enjoy a screen with a perforated camera , it also stands out in its fast charge, which is the faster of the two, it is also more modern and will still count with update to Android 11 and 12.
In the case of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro we have a price of approximately 209 euros . About ten euros less, with which we have a front camera with a little more resolution, a larger battery and more RAM . They are two very similar phones, and it is in the details where they can be ideal for you. The price difference is minimal, so it is up to you to decide based on subtle differences in performance and design.
