Xiaomi will present two electric motorcycles at CES

After the incredible success of the electric skateboard, Xiaomi and Segway-Ninebot are already preparing what will be the next assault in the world of electric mobility. And they will do so with the launch of two fully electric motorcycles that will see the light at the next CES in Las Vegas. Do you want to meet them?

Xiaomi’s electric motorcycle

Ninebot-eScooter
Both companies have been working to present two very interesting proposals next January. The first one is the Ninebot eScooter PowerE , a motorcycle that we can already find in the Ninebot catalog in China and that has really striking features. This motorcycle is available in three different versions, but it seems that two more versions with battery changes will be included in the coming weeks.

The most basic model is the E80C, with a traditional lead acid battery capable of offering a range of 60 to 90 kilometers and a maximum speed of 51 km / h. The E100 and E150 use a lithium-ion battery, and offer autonomies of 60-100 and 60-120 kilometers respectively. The E100 reaches 60 km / h, while the E125 reaches 75 km / h.

Those are the models that can be purchased in China today, although at The Verge they say the company will present two additional models, the E90 and the E200P. The first one will be another basic and economical version based on a lithium-ion battery with a range of about 100 kilometers and a maximum speed of 55 km / h. The other model, however, would stand out for the combination of a double battery that would allow it to reach 100 km / h and endure no less than a 200-kilometer trip.

These scooters have a pretty striking digital dashboard and interesting technology such as the possibility of connecting the motorcycle to our mobile phone to know the status of the bike, unlock it with the mobile or NFC key to start it and even receive notifications in case of that someone is handling it (anti-theft system) or know the location of the motorcycle with the help of the integrated GPS system.

It has a 22-liter compartment under the seat in which to store the helmet, a USB port in which to charge devices and several additional accessories that we can purchase separately such as a trunk, rearview mirrors, mobile support and a backrest for the companion

How much does Xiaomi and Ninebot electric motorcycle cost?

As for prices, this Ninebot electric motorbike can now be purchased in China with the following prices:

  • E80C: 4,999 yuan (about 640 euros )
  • E100: 7,199 yuan (about 925 euros )
  • E150: 10,299 yuan (about 1,300 euros )

We will have to see if these models make the leap to Europe, although considering that they will be shown at CES, we may see some launch soon.

An electric moped with pedals

The other model that will also reach the catalog is the colorful PowerC, a model closer to the classic moped that includes pedals to be able to continue using it in case of running out of battery. It has a very colorful design available in three different combinations, and offers a range of 75 kilometers and has a very simple dashboard with only two buttons.

This electric motorcycle is in the financing phase through a Crowdfunding campaign, and the project can now be supported and a model for 4,999 yuan (about 640 euros ). Like the eScooter PowerE, we must see if this model is encouraged to leave China and we see it in Europe at some point.
