The end of the road for the Xiaomi Mi 8 and MI Max / Mix 3

All these models have received their respective updates to MIUI 12 in China and some other regions in recent weeks and if you have not received it on your smartphone yet, you should do so shortly. Unfortunately, it is the last update that you will be able to install in any of them, because you will not be able to enjoy future revisions of MIUI 12 or the future MIUI 13.
In this way, while other manufacturers are beginning to offer system updates to 3-year-old models, Xiaomi does the opposite and shortens the useful life of smartphones launched just 2 years ago and that can still perform more than correctly. We hope that Xiaomi does not end up completely abandoning these phones and can bring them more improvements in the future that go beyond the classic bug improvements and security fixes with these phones.
