Before the Xiaomi bracelet arrives in our stores, or in case you decide to buy it in one of the many import stores present in our country, nothing better than comparing the two smartbands to see if the differences between the Mi Band 5 and the Realme Band you go beyond its price.

Mi Band 5 vs Realme Band

At the design level, the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 sports a curved shape that makes it more attractive, on a personal basis. But some may prefer the Realme Band because it is more similar to a more classic bracelet as its display looks like an extension of the strap.

With the Realme Band , you can reach up to 1.5 meters deep without damage (enough for people who want to swim in the pool with the device) while the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 can reach up to 50 meters deep. In addition, the screen of the Xiaomi option is larger, with its 1.1 inches compared to 0.96 on the Realme bracelet.

Xiaomi’s option also boasts a greater number of sports modes. With the device you can monitor up to 11 different activities, two more than the Realme Band. Of course, neither of them has an oxygen meter, but it does have a heart rate tracker.

The battery is another of the differential points of the two bracelets, being Xiaomi, once again, a winner in this regard. Despite offering more features, the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 offers longer battery life with up to 14 days on a single charge. The Realme Band has a 9-day battery life, but offers an important advantage: You don’t need an external charger as it includes a USB-A connector that can be plugged directly into a USB-A port. On the other hand, the Mi Band 5 supports magnetic charging thanks to a connector placed on the back which means that you do not have to remove the device from its strap to charge it.

Beyond these differences, the two have the possibility of replicating mobile notifications through Bluetooth 5.1 . Regarding the NFC ; The Realme option does not have this type of connectivity and Xiaomi does, but we do not know if in the model that will arrive in Spain.

Which one did I buy?

In favor of the Realme Band we have its design, charging options and its price while its battery becomes its great weak point. Xiaomi stands out for its screen, features and increased battery but its price, not yet official, presumably it will be more expensive.

On paper, the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 is superior to the Realme Band in all its aspects, but if your budget is tighter and you don’t want to wait for it to arrive in Spain, the Realme bracelet is not a bad option.
