Today we wanted to take a close look at both bracelets, and see the main differences between the Mi Band 4 and the new Redmi Band.

There are still many questions about the Redmi Band, which was born from the Xiaomi sub-brand to offer a cheaper activity bracelet if possible than the Mi Band 4. Differences between both bracelets

The screen grows

The first thing that strikes you is that the Redmi Band has a considerably larger screen. It reaches 1.08 inches, compared to 0.95 inches for the Mi Band 4. Both are tactile and colored, something that is already trending and will be replicated by future models. This increase in the screen of the Redmi Band, puts us on the track of what to expect with the launch of the future Mi Band 5.

Waterproof

Water resistance, something vital for many, is more powerful in the Mi Band 4 with 5 ATM resistance , which guarantees you can dive up to 50 meters. The Redmi Band incorporates the IP68 standard, which immunizes it to damage up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes.

The two bracelets will give the user the same useful information, that is, it allows monitoring of sleep, heart rate and the selection of multiple sports activities. Furthermore, the touch screen can display phone notifications such as incoming calls, WhatsApp messages or weather information.

Mi Fit and compatibility

Both the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 and the Redmi Band are compatible with Mi Fit, the official Xiaomi app. This means that they will have the same control over the records and the possibility of keeping track of progress. However, we see that the Redmi Band is compatible with Android devices from Android 5 , while the Mi Band 4 offers compatibility from Android 4.4. It is a slight difference, but it must be taken into account for those who use an older second terminal to work or play sports, and want to continue keeping control of it with the bracelet. In the battery we also find data in favor of the Mi Band 4, it can already last up to 20 days on, for the 14 days of the Redmi Band.

Redmi Band

As we say, we still have to know the arrival date and price of the Redmi Band for Europe. However, its exchange price and taking into account the taxes derived from the arrival in our market, could put the prices at around 19 euros. It is a very attractive price considering the 35 euros that the Mi Band 4 officially costs.
