Unfortunately for many users, the MIUI 11 update for the Xiaomi Mi 9 is causing many headaches because, suddenly, its terminals do not stop reporting errors in systems that previously worked without problems . So what can we do?
When the problem was detected , the community began asking for solutions from the company itself but there was no response. At best, users were able to offer partial devices that barely fixed anything . What to do?
Only one guarantees to return to the previous state, but at a very high price because it means returning the device to its factory settings. That is, what is usually called a hard reset , which deletes all the content that we have installed inside the smartphone.
We are aware that it is not the best option, but Xiaomi is also not making the job easy since the coveted patch that solves these errors does not finish publishing. So it is best to return to MIUI 10 and reinstall everything from a device backup.
This does not necessarily mean that we are going to lose everything. We will do it if, before getting to work, we do not make a backup copy of all the relevant information we have in the terminal: contacts, SMS, photos, videos, application data, WhatsApp chats, etc. That’s why we recommend that you do one, either with a specific app , either through your Google account and the tool that Drive has.
For WhatsApp chats it is preferable, before deleting the mobile, go through Settings> Chats> Backups and make a backup of the last comment we have made in our Google account. With the games the same thing happens: if they are stored in the cloud there will be no problems, but if not, it is advisable to use tools such as Carbon, which saves all your progress to recover it later in the new terminal.
Once you have done all of the above, touch delete the Xiaomi Mi 9 completely: turn off the terminal, and turn it on by pressing the volume up button at the same time. When the Xiaomi logo appears, select the Data Clean / Wipe data option.
That will erase the entire phone and leave it ready to configure it from scratch: putting the language, logging in with the Google account and letting it recover everything saved in the backup . And now the most important thing comes: DO NOT install MIUI 11 on your Xiaomi Mi 9 until there is an error-free version .
