Xiaomi has just made one of its classic product presentations. The Chinese firm has unveiled in its native country the new Mi 10 Youth Edition , a terminal that arrives with interesting features, including 5G connectivity and showing off cameras and a powerful zoom.
Xiaomi has already presented a Mi 10 Lite, however, we are facing a launch that in China has been presented as Xiaomi Mi Youth Edition. This means that if you arrive in Europe, you could do it as a different Mi 10 variant (Mi 10 Lite 5G?), Or under the Redmi brand, as we have seen on other occasions. This point is still a mystery, but we can see in detail what the device offers.
Screen with notch
The first thing we see is that it has a 6.57-inch screen with a drop-shaped notch at the top, and a FullHD + resolution with 2400 x 1080 pixels. It is rare to see this notch instead of a hole in the screen, but the industry is still very divided in this regard. While it is clear on high-end mobiles, we continue to see both styles in the mid-range.
Processor with 5G
Under the hood we find the powerful Snapdragon 765G, a processor designed by Qualcomm to offer good performance in the mid-range, and which can also be compatible with 5G networks. This processor is accompanied by memory options of 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 64, 128 or up to 256 GB of internal storage.
Powerful zoom
In the camera section, we find a quad configuration, with a 48-megapixel main sensor, accompanied by telephoto, wide-angle and macro sensors of 8 + 8 + 2 megapixels respectively. As the main feature and difference about the Mi 10 Lite, we see that it can reach a 50X zoom. Its front camera, housed in the front notch, reaches 16 megapixels.
MIUI 12 and battery
Of course it comes with Android 10 and all the news of MIUI 12 that we have just told you on our site. Plus, it features a generous 4,160 mAh battery that supports 20W fast charging. As for the connections, it is not lacking in WiFi 802.11AC, Bluetooth 5.0 (aptX HD), NFC, the aforementioned 5G, 3.5mm jack, Audio Hi-Res and a USB Type-C port.
Prices and launch
The new Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition can be purchased in China from April 30 and has a price that in exchange starts from 273 euros, reaching 365 euros. As usual, it is possible that if you arrive in Europe, you will not do it in all memory variants and we may lose some along the way. We will await news from the company for its landing in Spain and prices in euros, which would undoubtedly reach 300 euros in the base version and exceed 400 in the most powerful.
