Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro Plus: Case that Reveals the Detail of Its Cameras

During the last weeks we are listening to all kinds of news about the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro Plus . A priori it will be an improved version of the Mi 10 Pro, but there are still many unknowns on the table about the performance of the device, which is expected to be one of the surprise presentations at the tenth anniversary celebrations of the brand. Now, we have just seen a case that belongs to this terminal and that has left us with our mouths open.

We are seeing how the design of the back of the 2020 mobiles is following a similar trend. What was launched with the Galaxy S20 Ultra, as a huge rectangular rear camera module , was later inherited by other devices, including the Huawei P40 Pro. The next Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro Plus seems to follow this path, but with a module that by all accounts seems overly large.

A HUGE camera module

Again it has been the Chinese social network Weibo, which has served as a showcase to filter what is supposedly an official case of the Mi 10 Pro Plus. In the two images of the same case, the phrase “100X Infinity Zoom can also be seen, which makes one suspect that the terminal will have a 100X zoom capacity , in clear competition with the Galaxy S20 Ultra.

But what is most striking is that the camera module, despite maintaining the rectangular design of the current standard, is excessively large compared to other terminals in the sector, including the S20 Ultra itself. This has triggered the machinery of speculation with bets on extraordinarily large sensors or even the inclusion of a second screen housed alongside these sensors. However, and except for a major surprise, this second option seems unlikely.

Xiaomi’s next flagship?

The most recent reports on the Mi 10 Pro Plus, name with which it is currently known on the network, is that it will arrive with the model number “M2007J1SC”, appearing in various certification bodies with a 120W fast charger. It is believed that it could come with a 6.67-inch screen and 120Hz frequency. There is little doubt about the integration of a Snapdragon 865+ and a possible version of up to 12 GB of RAM . There is also speculation that it will be the first or one of the first Xiaomi devices to come to the market with Android 11 natively.
