The customization options of our mobile are increasing. The different layers of the manufacturers are more flexible day by day. In other words, much of what used to be found in a third-party app or by rooting the device can now be done natively. MIUI is one of the layers that grows the most, and that allows you to put any video as a wallpaper.
The wallpapers of our mobile are one of the elements that can go with our personality the most. Being able to change them often is good to avoid falling into monotony, but if we can also give them life, putting a video that we like the most, the result can be spectacular. The mechanism to achieve this could not be simpler.
Select video as background
To be able to put a video as the wallpaper, we must open the manager and click on the three lines in the upper left, to access the settings menu. Now, we will have to mark the option “Show hidden files” essential to be able to copy the videos in the background in the appropriate folder.
Now we must look for the video that we want and in its options mark “Copy” Once done we will have to click on “Shared internal storage” and enter the MIUI / VideoWallpaper folders. Once inside this folder, we will have to “Paste” the video that we have previously copied to put it in the background.
The next and last step will be to enter the themes app and click on the icon at the bottom right of the screen / Wallpapers / My animated wallpapers. Once inside we will see how the video we have selected appears in the list. Now, we will only have to select it and apply it as a background. When we exit to the main menu, we will see how the video appears as the wallpaper and plays over and over again in a loop.
To consider
Like any action that constantly consumes system resources, it must be borne in mind that putting a video as the wallpaper will be something that will detract from autonomy . This means that if our goal is to maximize battery life, we may notice a shorter battery life. Likewise, the videos that have been recorded vertically will have a visual impact more in line with our mobile, since they will adapt better to the screen ratio.
