Some of the models that we have seen are still waiting for the update to MIUI 12.5 have already exceeded 2 years of support, but nevertheless Xiaomi has given its arm to twist not to leave them agreeing with the failures of MIUI 12. A change of strategy focused on what other competitors such as Samsung or OPPO have done by increasing the update time, but in this case not for everyone.

MIUI 12.5

However, this could clearly be the end of the updates, leaving them later without the ability to update to MIUI 13. At least many of them are receiving Android 11 at the same time, closing a cycle in terminals that have allowed Xiaomi make a difference in the mid-range especially. As is the case with the Redmi Note 8 that arrived more than 2 years ago or the Redmi Note 7 that will be 3 years old very soon.
