Not only can we integrate texts as such, but we can also add photos, videos , graphs, tables , and much more to our projects. In fact, in addition to implementing these useful contents, we will have the possibility of carrying out some editing tasks on them. This is precisely the case that we want to talk about below and with one of the most common and used elements, images . Here we are going to talk about a useful function that will allow us to eliminate the background of the photos with which we work here.
This will prevent us from improving the appearance of these graphic contents and also without the need to use external specialized programs. For this that we are telling you, we only have to, first of all, load the image with which we are going to deal with in the Microsoft program. This is something that we achieve through the Insert / Image menu in Word to select the photo that we will add to the document in which we work.
This will be placed on the screen and we can resize it or place it in the location we want so that it forms part of our document. But here what really interests us is to remove the background of that image directly from Word.
Remove the background of a photo in Word
Once we have that content in our text editor project, all we have to do is click on it. The Image Format menu option will appear, and to the right we find the Remove Background button . It is easy to deduce that for the objective that we seek here we only have to click on this button.
At that moment the image that we have loaded will be marked distinguishing two well-differentiated parts. On the one hand, we have the background to be removed and on the other the main image that we want to keep in the Word document. This is something that will generally occur with photos that have a solid color background, for example. Thus, we will only have to click anywhere else on the desktop so that the background is automatically removed.
However, if, for example, we find that it is made up of a landscape or various elements, we will have to use the Mark areas to keep or Mark areas to remove button. This will allow us to manually select with the mouse the parts of the image that we want to delete or keep depending on the button we have opted for. In this way we can be much more precise in the new aspect of the photo loaded in Word.
