Windows Vista Remastered Edition – New Windows Concept

Windows Vista Remastered Edition

Much is said, nostalgically, about Windows XP and Windows 7, despite the fact that both operating systems no longer have any type of support. However, Microsoft has been leaving other operating systems along the way, some loved, such as Windows 98, and others hated such as Windows ME, or Windows Vista. These systems have fallen into oblivion much more easily than the previous ones, however, there are always those who want to give them a second chance, even if it is imaginary. And so we have been able to know what the successor to XP would be like today, a Windows Vista: Remastered Edition .

Addy Visuals is a designer known for having created other remastered operating system concepts himself. And today it was the turn of Windows Vista.

A modern Windows Vista? Why not

The new Windows Vista: Remastered Edition marks a before and after in what was the operating system. It is true that this OS introduced a lot of changes compared to XP, and served as the basis for the development of Windows 7. Transparencies and gadgets came with it. Even Windows 10 shares many parts of the kernel with Vista. But in its day it was not, by far, a good operating system. Quite the opposite.

Addy Visuals brings us a lot of changes with its new operating system concept. We will see the first of them directly in the start menu . This new menu maintains the essence of the original, although it has traces of Windows 10, a menu where the applications are the protagonists and the folders and system tools are at hand. What more could you wish for?

One of the features of Windows Vista was the Side Bar , the side bar where we could anchor, for example, desktop gadgets. This sidebar has been updated and turned into an action hub, just like Windows 10.

Windows Vista: Remastered Edition also debuts a new theme: Aero Design 2.0 . This new theme improves the transparency of the operating system and extends to the tools of the system, such as the file explorer. We can also find a new dynamic background, and, of course, dark mode fully integrated with the system.

How do I download Windows Vista: Remastered Edition?

As on other occasions, this is not a real operating system . We are talking about a concept created by a designer who remasters the system and imagines what this operating system could have been like if it had seen the light of day today, and also if Microsoft had listened to users about how they would like the OS.

Obviously we are not going to see a new “service pack” that provides Vista with these characteristics. Neither official nor unofficial. And even if someone creates an unofficial version of Windows Vista with these characteristics, under no circumstances should we download it. Vista has been without support since 2017, and, in addition, we should never use versions modified by other users, since we do not know what they can hide.

What we could see are some of the characteristics of this concept in some of the next versions of Windows 10.
