Windows 10 is an operating system that is constantly changing. Since its launch, we have been seeing how, every few months, the system receives a major update that changes all kinds of elements of the system, from its own internal applications to the appearance and interface. With the arrival of the new October 2020 Update we have seen the Fluent Design make its way to startup and other parts of the system to further debug the interface of the entire system. However, very soon we will be able to see one of the biggest changes in the entire interface of this operating system: this is Sun Valley.
The entire Windows 10 interface could be considered today one of the most objectionable elements of the OS. Despite Microsoft‘s efforts to update and improve all its elements, today we can find elements that have already been updated to the Fluent design, such as the Settings menu, and many of the default applications, while others, such as the browser of files, it still maintains an old interface that completely clashes with the other elements of the system. Even up to the arrival of Windows version 20H2, even the start menu seemed to be hitting its ball when it came to design

Little by little Microsoft is updating and improving the user interface of the operating system to make all the elements with which the user interacts perfectly fit. And instead of sticking with small changes, Microsoft will give a radical facelift to the Windows interface with the second update of 2021.
Windows 10 will release a new interface more Fluent Design than ever
Although it is not yet available even to Insider users, Microsoft should already be working on a major change to the entire Windows 10 interface. Specifically, all the parts with which users interact.
Internally referred to as “Sun Valley”, this new interface will bring a host of tweaks and changes to the entire Windows desktop. We can find much more modern designs in all the elements of it, even in the file explorer that, finally, it seems that it will be the next to change. We will also see new animations and effects when working with the desktop and windows and other new functions that we cannot tell much more about yet.

With these changes, the distance between Windows 10X and the desktop version of the operating system would be shortened a little, leaving these two systems very similar and being able to see a union between the two.
We have to wait until autumn 2021
At the moment we will still have to wait a long time to see the new changes. Not even Insider users can yet get a first taste of these changes. Microsoft must first finish working on version 21H1 of its system, and then it will start working on this second update for next year.
At the moment, it seems that Microsoft intends to release all these changes together with Windows 10 21H2 , which is supposed to be a minor update. This either means that Microsoft is going to put this upgrade model aside, or more likely, that the new Sun Valley look will be delayed until 22H1 .
We look forward to seeing what changes Microsoft is preparing for its operating system within the Insider branch of Windows. The truth is that, seeing the evolution of Windows 10, they are totally necessary changes.
