Our mobile is a hodgepodge of software where the system applications, along with all those that we download later, form the ideal cocktail to have everything we need in our day to day life. It is clear that the first thing we do when an app hinders us or we no longer need it is to delete it, but when that is not possible, using the “disable” option may get us out of trouble , or at least notice its advantages.
Installing or uninstalling applications is our daily bread. Manufacturers install more or less bloatware (their own or third-party pre-installed software) that in the same way can be more or less useful depending on the user. However, either because you don’t need these apps or because you want to block their use directly, the “Disable” option is more useful than it seems.
What is “disable apps” and what is it for?
The function to disable applications on our mobile is one of the alternative options for when we cannot uninstall certain applications, or when we have some apps that we have not used for a long time. Its function is to block all actions, permissions and background activity. Also, disabling an app deletes its data and cache . When activating the function, they will not appear in the application list either.
Its advantages
This action has many advantages, as we say, especially when we cannot delete an app or we have not used it for a long time. By using the disable function we will prevent the app from running in the background , thus consuming system resources or even our data bonus.
How apps are disabled
The method of disabling applications could not be easier. We will have to enter Settings and enter the Applications section. Once inside, we will have to slide over the list until we find the desired app. Once inside the app and right next to the “uninstall” option we will find the “disable” or “disable” function. Once done we will have to accept the fourth dialogue to confirm the action.
How are they enabled again
Keep in mind that not all system apps can be disabled , since the manufacturer has the key to decide on which ones we have that possibility. To re-enable them, we will have two options:
- Go to Settings / Applications / Application we are looking for: click on enable
- From Google Play: find the app in the bazaar and click on the “Enable” button
