Xiaomi has already presented its flagship smartphones for next 2022, but not everything has been said, is it? We miss seeing the appearance of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, the model that would accompany the Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro and 12X. The most prominent terminal of recent generations seems to have vanished.
During the presentation, no reference was made to possible future launches of the Xiaomi 12 series and that left us somewhat puzzled. A terminal that, however, could be safe waiting to be launched later, for reasons such as the shortage of chips or to finish giving life to a smartphone that can leave us surprises.
There are signs that it will exist
For weeks we have been hearing rumors of the Xiaomi Ultra model that has not finally seen the light. We have even seen renders of what it would look like and covers adapted to this model, so it means that at least at some point Xiaomi has thought about making it a reality.
The rumors were so important that it was even mentioned that the collaboration with Leica could come from the hand of this phone. That could have caused delays, with the intention of improving the cameras and not launching them at half throttle. The prestigious camera firm that previously collaborated with Huawei does not want to disappoint all fans and could have been the driver of the delay, with clear reasons.
In the leaks we got to know several possible designs, some giving priority to a round camera module and others betting again on the secondary camera that we already saw in the previous generation. Ultimately, neither of them were seen in the December presentation, but both could fit neatly in a later timeline.
Is the Ultra series not profitable?
Perhaps Xiaomi has finally decided to get rid of this model that can dazzle everyone, but due to its high price it does not become a best seller. Already with the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra, Spain was left out of being one of the countries chosen for its arrival, leaving all the fans with great disappointment.
To be content, in 2021 the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra did arrive in our country, however, for weeks it has been difficult to find stock on Amazon and even on the official Xiaomi website, where we only have the option to notify us when there are units. It could be due to a false step, the desires to have it sometimes exceed the possibilities of our wallet and we do not realize it until it is time to pay.
This step back would not be the first time that it has been produced, as we have also been able to see it from the Xiaomi folders that have not reached Spain either. Perhaps all the time and effort generated in the Xiaomi 12 Ultra series has been decided to focus on another model . Throughout 2022 we could perhaps come across a new Xiaomi Mix 5 with an improved invisible front camera, the long-awaited collaboration with Leica and this becoming the photographic benchmark that we expect from the Chinese manufacturer.
