One of the technologies that has changed the way we use smartphones has been virtual assistants , voice control that saves us time and interactions to replace it only with our words. Several virtual assistants have also emerged with all the brands that exist in the market, all of them with common functions but also some that make a difference to the rest.

If you are doubting which of them is the best virtual assistant, we will try to clarify everything they can do and with this it will be much easier for you to know which of them meets the expectations you have set. Each and every one of the attendees does not differ in the mobile models, so we can do the same both in models of the entry range as well as in high-end smartphones.
Virtual assistants on mobiles
Google Assistant, the most popular assistant
The first assistant that we know is the one that belongs to Google and that is integrated into all Android models, although it can also coexist with those of each brand. It made its debut in 2016 as a true revolution since it reached millions of smartphones around the world . Little by little, its expansion has allowed it to offer us more and more profits, until it becomes what it is today.

The reach of Google allows us to use it in countless languages and has very developed answers to specific questions. Given the wide range of information available to Google, the key to Google Assistant is information . We do not need to use the keyboard to find out historical data, recipes or control the mobile. Almost all the options that come by default in Android are also available in the assistant, we refer to for example: alarms, calls, messages, maps, opening applications, playing music and changing sound modes, among others.
Here the thing is not left because it is also capable of singing or playing games with us, Google’s artificial intelligence seems to have no limits and this makes it possible for even Google Assistant to take an appointment at the hairdresser for us.
Bixby, Samsung’s own option
The terminals of the Samsung company integrate their own assistant, Bixby, which was born in 2017 and is still very important to this day. Its integration goes beyond the classic responses or actions and seeks to offer intelligent control of all aspects of the smartphone. It began to be integrated with a dedicated button on Samsung mobiles, but little by little we have seen how it was integrated in different ways.

Samsung mobiles can also control native functions with Bixby such as the camera that takes photos for us, send messages or even show us photographs that we have taken on a trip. Another of the strengths of this assistant are the routines, with which we can create a series of functions established for when we tell our mobile that we are going to sleep or do sports.
The Samsung assistant combines all the home automation of the house with our mobile and if we have other devices of the brand it will be very interesting that we take full advantage of Bixby. We can also turn off the lights or control the television, know what is inside our refrigerator.
Siri, the origin of the assistants
The debutant and the one who opened the door to the world to be explored was Apple, with the iPhone 4S we discovered what a virtual assistant was about and more specifically Siri, the most popular voice in recent times. The first problem that arose was its limitation, since it was only available on iPhones, even so it was a first step that demonstrated the capabilities to explore.

Over time the Siri assistant has been improving but continually staying behind its competitors. Apple has not spent so much effort in this section and although we can control the home automation with our voice or perform many actions with Siri on the mobile, their responses are not as developed as those of Google Assistant.
Siri’s greatest strength has to do with the integration of Siri in gadgets , we have seen it in the Apple Watch and also in the AirPods, avoiding that we have to take out the mobile.
Celia, the last to arrive
Huawei has shown that they are also capable of fighting in the race of the assistants even if they have arrived very late. Celia is the name it has received and we have seen it for the first time in 2020 together with EMUI 10.1. Little by little it will be expanding to different models of the firm and to more countries, although luckily Spain has been one of the first to enjoy it.

For now its functions are focused on the most basic; alarms, search, weather, open applications or control music. Celia has a lot to learn and due to the creation of the new Huawei services in addition to the expansion of its connected devices, we will see more and more options in the assistant.
Virtual assistants who have not left Asia
Unfortunately for much of the world, not all the assistants developed by mobile firms have been launched across the globe. Those developed by OPPO and Xiaomi have been limited to the Asian continent and can only be used there. The language seems to have been the big barrier so that both OPPO’s Breeno and Xiao Ai from Xiaomi have not started traveling.
Xiaomi seems to have gotten to work and there is talk of an arrival in Spain together with other European countries soon, it will be a job of a lot of time and effort but with great advantages for the firm due to the ease of integrating more accessories and smart gadgets than can be controlled. On the part of OPPO there is no news about it, which could be beneficial to see it also in the Realme terminals.
