What started as a test for some models has ended up becoming a solution to dirt on the mobile speaker. Without having to take risks to clean the speakers of the mobile we can get our Xiaomi to expel all the dirt outside with the option that is included in MIUI 11 for most devices.
All of us at some point have encountered the situation that after using it a lot, the mobile ends up getting dirty by different parts and this forces us to have to resort to methods to clean the cameras of the mobile or clean the connectors that in some way are more delicate. For this reason, Xiaomi created its alternative that is very easy to use, although we recommend not doing it while someone is sleeping at home.
Steps to clean the speaker with MIUI 11
If we want to use this innovative function, we are only going to have to follow some simple instructions, in a process that does not put the smartphone at risk or even jeopardize the speaker. Through a vibration of the speaker’s membranes it is possible to expel air to the outside and with it the dirt that blocks the speakers of the mobile.
- To start we enter the smartphone settings.
- Then we go to the additional settings section.
- Finally we tap on the option called clean speaker.
Just by activating it, start the sound that makes the speaker rumble and we can check ourselves if it is working with bringing the skin closer to the speaker. Slightly we will notice that air that is expelled out. As indicated in the MIUI 11 tab, we can repeat this process up to 5 times if we continue to have problems with dirt , but in most cases one or two repetitions is more than enough.
In case it does not appear, we recommend checking that you have MIUI 11 and if so, check if there is any pending update. We will do this in Settings> Information about the phone> Updates. The feature is expanding to all models and it may take a few days for it to appear to us.
Do a deep cleaning of the speaker
Since we have managed to remove all the dirt from the inside of the speaker, we can not leave it there, we have to follow the steps so that it does not repeat itself in a few days and finish cleaning the Xiaomi speakers properly. The first thing will be to completely remove the dirt that has remained in the holes of the speaker, something that we are going to achieve with the help of a small pin.
Then we just have to help ourselves with a dry cloth to remove it completely and we can use our Xiaomi mobile again and take advantage of the speaker without sound problems . When the problem recurs, it is only a matter of doing the process again and keeping an eye on it because at some point this method may not be enough.
