This morning we are talking about the new Build 21337 of Windows 10. This new Windows update is available for Insider Dev users of the operating system, and allows them to test what will be the news that will come to the next versions of Windows 10. Specifically to the 21H2 that will arrive this fall. In addition to some minor changes, and many bugs corrected, Microsoft has included another novelty (disabled by default) that will allow us to personalize our PC much more: finally the dynamic Spotlight backgrounds arrive on the Windows 10 desktop.
Spotlight was one of the novelties that came along with Windows 10. This novelty is based, in a way, on the background of Bing’s day, and allows us to show a different photo of the day on the computer’s lock screen. Microsoft does not allow downloading of these backgrounds nor does it extend Spotlight beyond the lock screen itself.

Last year, Microsoft released an application to allow users to use Bing wallpapers on their computers, and change the background to the image of the day automatically. Now, it seems that Microsoft wants to go one step further, and the next operating system update will allow us to use Spotlight backgrounds beyond the PC lock screen.
Use Spotlight as your desktop background
It was already rumored for some time with her, but the rumors never got to go further. Now, it seems that they have finally come true. The new Build 21337 of Windows 10 21H2 brings this functionality, although disabled and hidden under an experimental flag, for now.

This new option will appear in the same section from which we change the background of the PC. By selecting it, Microsoft will download and use funds from its servers automatically (we will not have the possibility to choose which one we want) and will set it by default. In the lower right corner we can see a button that will allow us to know more about the background, as well as the “tracks” that appear on the lock screen. Tapping it will open Edge with the image information.
We miss some options , such as the possibility of choosing how often the background changes, or choosing categories. This function is still in an experimental phase, so there is still time to add these functions to it. We will have to wait for future builds, when it is activated by default, to learn more about this expected functionality.
Other secrets of build 21337
In addition to Spotlight, the new Windows 10 compilation brings with it other hidden novelties that must be activated by “flags” using tools such as Mach2. One of the most interesting is ” Device Usage “. This function will allow us to receive suggestions for programs and services based on the use that we are going to give the computer. A great function to be able to have our PC with everything we need.

Another novelty that we can find, also deactivated by default, is the possibility of customizing the touch keyboard of our computer with numerous options. At the moment it does not work, it is only presented, but it allows us to get an idea of what the next Windows 10 will bring in a few months.
