The functions of the Mi Band 4 cease to surprise us, the last to arrive officially is the possibility of unlocking our Windows 10 computer from the Mi Band 3 and Mi Band 4 . This option is not yet available in Europe and it is only available in China, although with a simple trick we will be able to start using it right now.
The protection of Windows 10 can be based on several methods, among them an unlock pin or password, which we are going to give up on to take advantage of the Xiaomi sports bracelet that accompanies us everywhere. During the process that we are going to explain we will have to make changes in our region computer, although we do not have to worry since later we will return to leave it as it was without affecting the trick at all.
Steps to follow to unlock the computer with the Mi Band
Most of the steps that we are going to develop focus on our computer and of course we have to be close between our computer and the Xiaomi bracelet itself. First of all we link our mobile to the computer by Bluetooth and then we will do the same from the Mi Band, remember to turn off the Bluetooth of the mobile because this way the bracelet will be available.

We change the region in Windows 10
To access this function before the rest, we will have to resort to the trick of changing the region. In Windows 10 we will do this by going to Settings> Region and time. From here we will only have to change the country for China and in a few seconds the change will be applied automatically.
We downloaded the ‘My Blaze Unlock’ application from the store
By changing the region we have allowed our computer to access the Chinese application store, giving us access to ‘Mi Blaze Unlock’ the app developed by Xiaomi to connect our Mi Band 3 or Mi Band 4 and be able to unlock Windows 10.
We just have to look it up in the search engine and it will come out as the first option. Click on obtain and after a few seconds of processor, the download will be made and installed without major problems.
We configure the app
Although the application is in perfect Chinese, the steps to follow are very simple. We just have to click on the right arrow continuously and when no more options appear we will wait a few seconds until you find our Mi Band through Bluetooth. Then on the button that appears next to the Mi Band we will press and then they will link.
We can start to unlock Windows 10 with the bracelet
Now we just have to test it by blocking the computer and checking how we have to resort to the bracelet to be able to use it. In any case, we will be able to continue using the PIN or alternative method that we were using before.
Now we can return our computer to the original region and re-link our mobile with the bracelet so that everything returns to normal and we enjoy this advanced function.
