The automatic access of Movistar Plus+ allows us to access the application or the television channels without the need to have previously activated the service on devices and without the need to use the password to access the application.
Conditions and requirements
In order to access Movistar Plus+ without passwords, we need to meet a series of requirements and we need to have a compatible device. We cannot do it from any device and we cannot do it always, but we must take into account a series of aspects…
Connection and packages
Can anyone do it? No, we must have contracted a series of packages and we must have a device that allows us to do so. In other words, you won’t be able to do it with Movistar Plus+ Lite on your tablet or computer for no reason.
For the function to be available you need to have contracted the Fusion modality and you will need to have Movistar Plus+ with a decoder through ADSL or fiber. But you should note that it will not work with cable box via satellite.
Compatible devices
Not all devices are compatible with this function and we must bear in mind that we can only access it from the following devices with the app:
- From Android tablets running Android 8 or later
- From Android mobiles with Android 8 or later
- Samsung and LG Smart TVs from 2016 onwards
- Android TV Smart TVs
- Hisense Smart TVs with VIDAA OS version 4.0 technology
- On Amazon Fire TV Stick
- On Apple TV 4th and 5th generation
In the case of a Chromecast, you can use it as long as it is linked to a mobile phone or tablet with Android 8 or higher, but it will not work with iOS.
How to access and use
If we want to use Movistar+ automatic access on devices, we must meet the fundamental requirement of being connected to the same WiFi network. All devices must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network , as the operator believes and considers that it is a secure environment in which different users can make completely secure use of the application without having to enter the password.
As they explain from the Movistar website itself, “when you access the application within the Hogar Fusión network, you will enter directly with the passwords entered automatically, whether or not you have them activated”. It is not necessary to activate anything or change anything in the configuration , but rather the identification page will be skipped directly to go to the profile selection page so that you can choose yours.
You don’t have to do anything else and you can navigate through the application. You just need to do it connected to the same WiFi as your decoder and from one of the compatible devices that coincide with those mentioned in previous paragraphs.
