What a few years ago might seem like a tortuous process that would generate more of a headache now is a piece of cake thanks to a simple app developed by Apple. Move to iOS is an Android application that will allow you to transfer contacts, message history, website bookmarks, email accounts, calendars, photos and videos and even the applications from your old mobile to your new iPhone, as long as they are are available on the App Store for free download.
How it goes from Android to iPhone
Whatever the Android mobile model you have as a base and the iPhone to which you are going to start the transfer, what you need is, first of all, to charge the two phones. Before starting the process you must verify that all the content you have on your old phone fits in the internal memory of the iPhone.
1st step: iPhone
With the battery charged, turn on the iPhone and when you reach the Applications and data screen during setup, tap Transfer data from Android.
2nd step: Android
Once you have your mobile battery full, it is time to download the app on your Android mobile and connect to a Wi-Fi network. Open the app and click on Continue.
3rd step: iPhone
Back on the iPhone, after selecting the Transfer data from Android option, press Continue and wait for a ten or six digit code to appear.
4th step: Android
Enter the code shown on the screen of your new iPhone on your old Android phone. Then select the content you want to transfer between Android and iOS (contacts, photos, Chrome bookmarks, files …) and click on Next.
5th step: iPhone
When the process is finished on your Android smartphone, you must wait until the loading bar that appears on the iPhone screen disappears.
6th step: Android
Once the progress bar disappears from the iPhone, press Accept on the screen of your Android mobile.
7th step: iPhone
Now is the time to press Continue on the iOS device and continue with the instructions on the screen to end the migration from Android to iPhone .
After this last step you can already format it and save your Android phone in a drawer or ready for sale. Apps that are available in the App Store, as long as you have decided to migrate them, will appear on your new Apple device, as well as the contents selected for transfer.
