It is quite interesting that the five most popular games on Steam are free and do not have high requirements. PUBG is the most demanding game and tells us that it is recommended with an Intel Core i5-6600K or a Ryzen 5 1600. Building on this, we have been looking for cheap 6 core 12 thread processors. The models listed are old and can be hard to find, but there are great options on the market.
The first option that we give you is the Ryzen 5 4500 that has 6 cores and 12 threads working at a frequency of 3.6 GHz and a Boost frequency of up to 4.1 GHz. Normally it is around 160 euros, but now in PcComponentes we can find it for 83 euros, becoming a brutal bargain.
We have an alternative to this processor that can be just right for Lost Ark and PUBG, but ideal for Dota 2, Apex Legends and CSGO. This processor is characterized by having integrated graphics, so we can save the graphics card. We are talking about the Ryzen 5 4600G APU, which also has 6 cores and 12 threads , working at 3.7 GHz and can reach 4.2 GHz. The great thing about this processor is that it integrates Radeon Vega 7 graphics working at 1.9 GHz, enough to move these games. Normally it costs 144 euros, but now we can find it for 106 euros with a 27% discount.
Good, nice and cheap ASUS motherboard
We didn’t want a very cheap, low-end motherboard, we wanted something in between. Luckily we have found this ASUS ROG STRIX based on the B450 chipset, which is more than enough for the two chosen processors. This motherboard has two M.2 PCIe 3.0 SSD sockets , which is great. Regarding rear connectivity, it has DisplayPort and HMDI outputs, as well as two USB 3.1 Gen2 and four USB 3.1 Gen1. We now have it on sale for 74 euros, which is a brutal price considering that it normally costs about 12 euros.
Basic RAM memory kit, but quality
Currently, the minimum RAM for practically everything is 16 GB, so we were going to go with this amount, even if none of the games asked for “that much”. We’ve opted for this 16 GB Kingston FURY Beast kit in a 2×8 GB set running at a frequency of 3200 MHz . It has a usual price of about 53 euros, which is great.
You can not miss an SSD
We can find dozens of good quality storage solutions on the market. We also give you two options, according to the needs or tastes of each one. First we have the Crucial MX500 with a 500 GB SATA interface that costs only 44 euros. As an alternative, we have an M.2 PCIe 3.0 SSD, the 500 GB PNY CS1030 that normally costs 62 euros , but is now on sale for 52 euros.
Refurbished graphics card, to save
Buying a graphics card means making the budget much more expensive, which is why we have looked for alternatives. One of the most interesting is to buy reconditioned products, which come from exhibition, sample, review or similar systems, and which come in neutral packaging.
The first option is the Gigabyte GTX 1650 OC that costs 71.4 euros , when it normally costs 227 euros. Currently, the GTX 1650 is the most popular on Steam for its great value for money. As an alternative we have the Sapphire Pulse RX 580 8 GB that costs 97.5 euros , when it normally costs 195 euros.
You can go for a more modern graphics card, but they are quite expensive. Alternatively, you have the ASUS Phoenix RX 6400 4 GB and the Zotac GTX 1650 AMP Core .
A simple and cheap box
